Slightly off topic, but I don't really understand why people buy flowers. Seems like a waste of money buying something that looks good for a few days and then dies, seems kinda cruel too - they are living things. I'd much rather have a present that is useful or give that amount of money to charity (buy one of those oxfam unwrapped things or something) or at least buy a pot plant instead so it doesn't die, they seem so expensive too :eek:0

Hehe even free flowers seem a waste of money to me0 -
After reading this trail of posts I can't honestly say I care who is wrong or right here. It would seem that the lady concerned has learned her lesson and perhaps Mr MD and your company may have learned to take more care in operating your business?
I would suggest that you now concentrate on running your business and put your efforts into that. The amount of energy and effort spent so far in pursuing this lady, who at best you may get back a matter of a couple of hundred pounds would not seem to warrant the effort.
I'm assuming that you have other equity investors and some debt finance to develop your 'fledgling' business. If I had money invested in you I would not be comfortable that you have taken your eye off your business to pursue this folly.
Get back to dealing with and managing your suppliers, cherish your staff and most importantly manage your cash resources.
There are a number of posts on this forum about the poor quality of your flowers - follow these up, understand why people feel that they are poor value, improve the quality of your product offering for your customers.
If you refocus your efforts you may save your business, otherwise you should leave it to someone else who understands leadership.

I have read this thread in its entirety for the first time and have been gripped by it. However, I am utterly shocked that not one single person has asked the one and only question that really matters here.

You may be legally in the right carla, but it is obvious from your postings that you have a very poor sense of morality and seem to think that normal rules of decency and not taking advantage dont apply to you. Time to grow up.0
