ALSO... (assuming you're a she... sorry) could you pick up some extra money baby sitting for friends/family/coleagues? (Not saying blokes can't babysit but some people have a thing about it unless they really know you...
)
As you're keen on animals... could you take a weekend canine lodger if owners were away and you knew them? I think we pay about £10 per day to our dog sitter when we're on hols - cheaper than kennels and MUCH better for our lunatic!DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!
My DFW Diary - blah- mildly funny stuff about my journey0 -
I dont really know any families with kids, I am the youngest kid in my family hahah! But the animal sitter is a good idea :-) x
thanks guys for making me happier. :-) if I aint got it, they cant take it! haha as someone else said. xx0 -
Glad you're feeling more positive

The animal sitting is a good idea since you have experience with dogs. Know there are quite a few companies round that either dog-walk or look after animals when people go away, often in their own home as less stressful for them then kennels so guess there must be a decent market for it!
Try not to let the debt companies get you down, and that is exactly what I always say - they can't get paid what I don't have. I have this image of debt collection people sometimes as like little kids, just jumping up and down going, gimme, gimme, gimme!! Definately annoying but just gotta tell them a good, firm no
Well it helps me feel less bothered by them anyways.. 0 -
Is there any other ways of increasing your income? Have you looked at the up your income board. Things like surveys and free scratchcards can help a little. Are there any other part time jobs that you can do? Things like Avon or Kleeneze? anything else from home?0

This is my SOA. I definitely dont have that much left over each month, so I am not sure where its going!
This is the key - a spending diary is a very good idea, write down every single penny you spend and what you spend it on for a whole month at least if not 2, and see where this "spare" money goes. its a real eye opener. You're not your * could have not of * Debt not dept *0 -
Hi guys
Lesalanos, I do everything via quidco and I do the free click survey things every other day.
I'm not the dog walking thing is going to be successful though, dont you need insurance do it? Plus I work funny hours on a 3 week rota so couldnt commit to set weekly times.
I am going to advertise on Gumtree and in the local petshop though.
Crappy start to the day. BCW has taken a DD for £35 - it was only meant to be for £5. So I have cancelled that and have to wait 24 hours for it to go back in my account. I had a bit of money from paypal go in yesterday and I was going to use it today to fill my car up, so I'm getting the bus to work - 2 hour journey for 2 miles! £3.80 wasted
One of the dogs needs to go to the vet as well. Unfortunately his allergies are not covered so lord knows how much that is going to cost me. My car tax is due end of July as well:(
I'm going to have to start pimping myself down at the Tyne Docks at this rate. 50p a go :rotfl:0 -
:rotfl:Try the Quayside in Newcastle, you can charge a quid there:rotfl:The "dog sitting" is a very good idea, have you also thought about "cat sitting"? I have got 2 cats and its always a problem if we go away longer than overnight, and catteries cost a fortune!!! And they don't need walking!;)0

I couldnt have cats in the house I'm afraid cos my one of the dogs isnt keen on them....why, are you going on holiday? Do you need a cat sitter? ;-)
The Quayside...dont the footballers hang out round there? Maybe I could sell my story to the news of the world ahahah x0 -
Can't afford a holiday this year, I'm afraid
No, I was thinking more of going to peoples' houses to feed and change the litter etc. Cats are funny (well mine are!) they don't like "strange places". Maybe put an ad up in the local vets. Aye, a canny few get down the Quayside;) Go for it:rotfl: 0 -
nah, I'm not desperate enough to go to the Quayside (yet!!) haha
I'll stick some adverts up and see where it gets me.:D0
