please don't be so hard on urself. It really bugs me how we're all programmed to judge ourselves by how much money/things we have (I mean that directed at advertising not u ) I remember the lowest I ever was re finances was when it was the time of the month and I couldn't even afford sanitary towels. After a couple of days I went and saw my mil and asked her for a pack. I felt so low, really thought I was pathetic and useless. But it really isn't a measure of what I was (or who u are what u can/can't afford) my measure of who I am is the things I say and do xxx

thanks guys. I will call tax credit people tomorrow and find out. Just been on the benefits calculator and it says I'd qualify for LHA? How would that work though as a single adult living in a two bed house?

My mum just phoned, had to bite my lip to stop me crying! x

I am a single adult in a 2 bed flat and I think I could get about £5 a week or something based on 15k income. Depends on your LHA rate and other things, tbh I found the online calculator very confusing, might be best to just apply and see what they say?... xx

oh my word - I feel for you and I feel bad that I can't just send a few tins of dog food up to you as I would hate to think my dog would have to go without.

You sound like you're trying to look at the positives in all this and still sound quite cheary in your situation - have you tried signing up to a temp' agency for bar work? I got some bar work through one once, I was really surprised they did it, but they did!

I really hope you get something eventually - keep us posted and keep your chin up..I'm sorry I can't be of much help in any other way! (((hug)))

Your road tax depends what you drive, you can look it up HERE. It generally works out very slightly cheaper to tax it for 12 months at a time not 6, but if you haven't got a 12 month lump in one go don't sweat it.

Getting caught without tax is a nightmare, you really need it.

hey Liz thank you for the offer. The dogs never go without! I normally buy a 15kg that lasts me 2 months but ran out on Saturday lol x
