Right well now that's that dealt with and you and the dog will be Ok and not either half starved or sitting around in very smelly pants then back to the underlying thing...
The creditors are just pushing their luck, they can not have what you do not have. I would be inclined to develop a case of obstinance if I were you I think and send them all a statement of accounts showing what you can really afford to pay, because clearly it's not the amount you're paying or your card wouldn't have bounced.
Also- as Martin Lewis says, never ever bank where you have debt! You urgently need a new account, so that your debt repayments aren't coming out of the account you're using and therefore the b*st*rds can't humilliate you like that again. The article says everything you need to know about that. It's here >>> http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/banking/setting-offI refuse to be afraid of the big bad wolf, spiders, or debt collection agencies; one of them's not real and the other two are powerless without my fear.
(Ok, one of them is powerless, spiders can be nasty.)
As of the last count I have cleared [STRIKE]23.16%[/STRIKE] 22.49% of my debt.

thanks Hannah. I bank with Natwest who have been brilliant with me. I'll get a new account set up and get my wages paid into that.
This is my SOA. I definitely dont have that much left over each month, so I am not sure where its going!
(Please note my rent is £450 for the next 5 months as it includes my bond, after that its £400)

You manage on £40 groceries a month! That's impressive.
No tips I'm sorry to say, looks like you are doing amazingly welll with what you have. Good luck with it, hope you get yourself into a good position soon.0 -
thanks Shebrett, I have to manage on that. I eat lots of bananas and apples - I get them really cheap as I live behind an allotment shop - but pretty much eat pasta and cereal the rest of the time. My mum takes me out once a week haha x0

Apart fro first credit, you have very small debts. Is there any way to do a car boot sale, amazon or e-bay and pay off one of them?
have you join www.freegle.co.uk?If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -

Gotta love mothers :A0 -
Hi Ras, thanks for that.
Yes I need the car unfortunately as I've had my shifts changed at work (even though I live a few miles away it isnt a commute that is accessible by bike as you have to go down a busy dual carriageway) and the bus routes stop after 10pm (I finish at 11pm sometimes)
I also help care for my elderly nan, so go up to hers (11 miles away) three times a week although she gives me £10 a week, which normally goes on petrol.
Yes I have 6 points on my licence, that is why my insurance is so high. How much would you recommend for car tax/contents insurance etc?
As for my rent being high it includes my bond so I didnt have to pay upfront (couldnt afford it) as my previous flat was repo'd after my landlord failed to make payments. It will go down to £400 in November x
As for groceries - see above ;-)
As for car boots/ebays etc, I literally have nothing to sell. I split with my ex last year and took my clothes, a few personal belongings and my dogs. I have had to build everything up from scratch so dont have anyhing of any value other than the car and the laptop (which was bought as an xmas present between my mum and brother). I don't even have a bed at the moment - am kipping on an old futon x
I have applied for 16 bar and waiting on jobs over the last week, within a 15 mile radius, but jobs are few and far between in the North East and there is no over time at work at the moment.0 -
Frankly, given your situation, you are doing brilliantly.
Do check out freegle and freecycle. Sometime people give away stuff for car boot sales, which you could sell. They also have household goods, clothes, soft furnishings etc. if there is somewhere a bit posh nearby/near mum or nan or work, join there as well as the pickings might be better.
Alternatively, check the loft at your parents in case you left anything there years ago.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0
