I miss...nothing really because I still have holidays and all the things I had before I just buy wisely, plan harder and save carefully.

I really get a buzz from saving, being careful with money, planning meals/birthday presents/Christmas/holidays etc
I have spent so many years being out of control, it feels really good to be financially incharge.

Once I'm debt free this is how I will be, I do all the planning now but things like holidays etc will be saved for.

I miss eating out. I love sushi and we used to eat it at least once a week costing about £45 quid (sometimes three times a week, ouch!)

Why not try making your own sushi - it is easy to make and you can get all the ingredients in Waitrose or similar stores. It takes a bit of practice but is not difficult and you can have some fun with it.
The Universe will provide - all you have to do is trust.

And give it a nudge in the right direction occasionally :o

  • I miss the feeling of having 'eternal' money... not worrying about where the last £1 would come from. Every penny is now accounted for. I so wish that I could feel like that again, not borrowing it but just my money.

It may sound selfish and some people would look at my past SOA and think im a nob for saying we earn this and spend that... but no one, no one has had the feeling on how I feel.... Im typing as I think so excuse me if this isnt typed correctly... but I do know there are people who are worse off far far far far and beond worse than me... but sometimes, I feel bad.. very bad and do at the moment.

I know what you mean. I miss thinking "oh well, it's only another £30 on the card" when out shopping and I miss the reckless attitude that comes from having your head firmly buried in the sand. It's no fun being all responsible! But one day I will be able to spend freely again and this time it'll all be my own money to start with :D
