    cowboy pie

    chop sausages and fry,

fry mushrooms sliced and an sliced onion if you have

put in oven proof dish with baked beans

    top with mashed potatoes

add little grated cheese if you have

    oven bake for 30mins

can serve on own or with veggies
  • thanks for everyones help. i did a sausage pasta bake casserole sort of thing
  • I know I am very late to this thread, but if you'd had cheese, you could have made sausage cheeseburgers (skin the sausages, mould them into thin patties, put some cheese on one, and put a patty on top. Mould the edges together, and grill on both sides). Or if you had apples, sausage sage and apple burgers (same as before, but cut up an apple into tiny bits, and cook with sugar, water, and some sage) - yum!

one of the worst things you can get into
    is
what would you like for tea ?
    or
I was thinking we could have *** for tea
    sound OK ?

You end up being a slave in the kitchen
while one has one thing and one has another
or driving yourself crazy trying to think how
    to please everyone.

I just make it serve it up and if they dont like
it then they starve,I have been just like you
in the past, but not any more.

Left with one choice or no choice
they just get used to it and my lot have
been a right faddy lot in the past.

Its not like I am dishing up poison,I have
a good idea what they all like so there
is no good reason to be so picky, since I
make sure only to buy the things they
    will all eat.

start off with a eat all that
and you can have a nice treat after
to get them in the habit of just getting
stuck in.Oh and make sure all the biccies
and cakes are well hidden or dont buy any.

Flour, eggs, suger, marg bit of milk mixed up
a big dollop of jam in the bottom of a
pudding basin, bake in the oven. They will soon
start eating without question or miss out on pud.

If the pasta bake sauce is tomato based, then cook the sausages in it, and have that with potatoes.
I was going to suggest this - sausage casserole.

If I ask my lot what they want for tea they usually say 'I don't mind' and then have the cheek to complain that they didn't want what I end up making. Unfortunately for them, they don't get a second choice.

    Hi all,

    just had success in Asda...

9 packets of sausages- was 1.87 now 21p! Should have been 16.83, was 1.89...except I only got charged for 7...so 1.47!!! Plus packet of burgers (4) pork and apple for 52p, 2 pots of fresh cheese sauce for pasta- 2 tubs for 10p each and a fresh spaghetti carbonara ready meal for 29p!!!

Wow! So what can I do with 72 sausages???!!!

    Thanks

If it were me I'd be frying all 72 and having to eat 4 sausages a day for the next 18 days somehow...

Just separate them and freeze them in pairs, you've obviously got a freezer or you'd have not bought so many.

Alternatively, invite us all round for a barbie.

Definitely freeze them in useable amounts - same with the burgers - freeze them in pairs :D.

Should keep you going for a while there :D.

How about cooked sausages in onion gravy and topped with mashed pots.

Ha ha maybe I didn't make that clear! I have a freezer! I've frozen them and my ideas just consist of sausage casserole, toad in hole of just with potatoes and veg.

I wish I could have everyone round for a BBQ- no garden :-(
