    Hi cady,

There are loads of sausage recipes in this thread that should help.

This thread may be useful too:

  • Have got a pack of pork sausages and fancy doing something different with them. As well as the normal traditional way of eating them, i sometimes chop them up and cook them with tomatos, veg and spices amd serve this with rice or pasta. Bit bored of this now.

Does anybody have any ideas or recipes for something different with them?

    Snowy

Toad in hole, don't know how to make it but its a delicacy in my house! OPtherwise, take the meat out and mix with dried fruit, apples, onions, sage and white wine for stuffing?

  • We had a giant fritatta tonight, served four of us , and some had second helpings. I chopped up 4 sausages, each into 4 pieces, then added 2 chopped onions and 3 small chopped par boiled then drained potatoes to the remoska with 1 tbsp of heated oil. I allowed all of that time to cook through, then added 1/2 a chilli, chopped small, and some chopped mushrooms, gave that another few minutes to cook through. Then I poured over 1/2 dozen lightly beaten eggs and 4oz of grated cheese, put the lid back on and left to brown nicely.
This could easily be done in a large fry pan, finishing under a hot grill, and using whatever veg you have needing used up. I usually add sweetcorn, but didn't have room for it tonight.

I sometimes do "chilli saus sweetcorn"

Fry chopped onions, chopped red pepper and mushrooms (optional) until soft then add around a pint of gravy and sweetcorn. Add dried chilli flakes to taste. Grill sausages for a few minutes to brown and add them to the sweetcorn mix. Simmer for around 20 mins until cooked. Can be served with mash, rice or just bread. This also freezes well.

Hope your cat is doing well.
