B & Q got 20% off almost everything for the garden so you lot can get out of the kitchen and try a bit of fencing or whatever.

    hi all

sorry haven't been around this week, hope everyone is ok!

Lazy weekend ahead here, some cleaning and washing does need to be done but it had a thorough clean last weekend so won't need so much this weekend. dh has nipped into town to pay a cheque in so I am enjoying having the place to myself for an hour. Sleeping badly so am very tired and not waking up rested!

Had a horrid experience last night when the Sainsbury's man refused to carry the big online shop upstairs to the kitchen for me - they always do, even before I was pregnant. Thankfully although dh was out he was soon back and did it, but the guy didn't know that. I was so shocked that he left a 7 months pregnant woman surrounded by heavy shopping! I've complained of course but doubtless I'll get a token reply and a free delivery voucher. What if it was an elderly person who was relying on them to carry it into the kitchen (as their website says they will do). Back to Mr T deliveries for me, their delivery men are usually strapping blokes who carry it all up in 2 trips!!!

anyway, to get back on topic...I need a little list for today:

    arrange flowers
    water & feed plants
    empty bins
    clean bathroom
    hoover through whole flat
    wm - clothes, towels
dust spare room & baby's room

Study is now incredibly tidy, as I had a major reorganisation and clean up yesterday. However, there is lots of junk in the spare room :p Hopefully it will help me work more productively.

I've got people coming over for lunch tomorrow, so need to go to the farm shop, come back and clean manically, then go to the supermarket tonight for whatever bits and pieces I need to complete lunch.

I think I might poach a chicken, make some salads to go with it (depending on what looks nice at the farm shop), and then maybe an apricot tart if I'm feeling energetic... If everything is cold then I don't need to worry about timing.

    Morning all
its much brighter at the moment and breezy

Lilo I am glad that you are nearer a diagnosis but sorry to hear that you have it IYKWIM. You will need to learn to be very strict with yourself about pacing yourself so that you dont use all your spoons up too quickly - break every job down into smaller chunks and take plenty rests - if you are going anywhere make sure you dont do too much the day before and leave the day after free if poss too - its not easy but with a bit of forward planning and organising you will get there - i hope they get you sorted with medication soon if its needed. (((hugs)))
saver-j thank goodness your parents are home and they will be able to supervise the garage repairs now - were they ok about your accident? take a day or 2 and get back into your own routine - dont try to catch up in your own house all at once.

bed has been stripped and is washed and on the line
    2nd load in the WM

I didnt intend to do washing until monday but the weather is so unpredictable at the moment i thought i had better get on with it.

    ETA and 3 letters written!
    Peace will be mine
could do better - must try harder

House in desperate need of TLC because I made jam instead of cleaning. No kids around (watch out Whitby! The Derby Tups are on their way!)

Loads of washing out; it looks like rain but it had better not because my TD is on it's holidays :rotfl:

    so, this morning

    kitchen
(has anyone seen a cat placemat? It WAS on my line...it's probably blown all the way to Crazychick's or even AnWsMum's:rotfl:)
    dining room
    tidy round living room
    make bed
write shopping list - including stuff for picnic

meeting OH tomorrow and packing a picnic:money:and he has a proper picnic basket which is on my list! (Well having a proper picnic is on my list - but I think my celebratory one ought to have more people there IYSWIM)

(Crazychick posts on the daily - our kids are at the same school! - I don't know her IRL though)

I have a recipe for chicken and grape salad which involves a poached chicken...and cream...and white wine if I remember rightly
