The Blokes Mother sounds like a nightmare. I bet you wish you'd just gone on your own.

She's sweet, but I was already way out of my comfort zone, being FAR too nice to The Bloke. And then she rolls into town!!!! [mental image of me being the suspicious local in my nice, quiet, tumbleweed infested, town as the new person crashes in through the swinging doors]

I don't think midwives need your hands for anything, Piggers, they should by all rights be far more interested in another area....

(slips back in quietly when I hope no-one is looking - can I rejoin please, pretty please.)

I lost the plot a while back when I was last here and ended up with huge lists and doing exactly nothing - have had the black dog staying, but have finally tied him back up in the garden - followed by a few weeks of hyper activity - you know the sort, start all the big things, make a huge mess - run out of steam, feel carp and take to my bed. So, now I have 3 half sorted bedrooms, pretty good in the sorted half - stacked up to the eyeballs with clutter in the other half.

So hopefully, I can get myself back on the straight and narrow and start with baby steps. So I am only doing the level one for a while, and celebrating the fact that I am getting something done and build from there.

Good luck to pigpen with the impending delivery - hope it goes well, and thanks to all for the thread

  • Roughly the same reason that I went and endured a full leg wax two days before I gave birth, Piggers. Didn't want the slightest possibility of any photos with a trace of leg pelt on them - and the eww factor of what it would look like from my position (wasn't as if I could reach them to do it myself - giant weeble time here (9lb 4 oz of DD2).

    Perfectly reasonable!

ETA: I meant you could have them done whilst the MW was busy further South!
