ARRRGGGHHH!!!!
Was daft/soft enough to cancel and rebook my Madness ticket for one where The Bloke could come to/and sit next to me. Much against my more selfish instincts, I hasten to add. I didn't want to give up my front stalls ticket, but hey....
He tells his mother I've got tickets (he's doing the guttering or something for her at the moment, so is staying there). She pipes up 'Oh, I'd love to go, could Jojo possibly see if she could book another?'. So he calls me. I say yes (how can I say No, I would rather chop my head off than go out with the Bloke's mother to a concert?).
So she is now coming, too. Sitting in the seat next to us. Had already cancelled the first ticket, so couldn't offload that one on her and get her well away from us. She is very sweet, but about 4 and a half foot tall, a little airheaded and talks incessantly at about 87 dB.
She then throws in, 'I don't want to stay at P's (his sister's) as there are just too many kids (5), it's too noisy and the couch makes my back hurt - and if DD is away, I could sleep in her bed, please, couldn't I? (I'm picturing her fluttering her eyelashes at this point).
So: not only have I lost my front stalls seat, I have acquired his Mother not just for the evening, but all night as well. And in the @($@£(*$@£* morning too!
And I have to find DD's bed under all this.
Damn.
Damn.
Damn.
Damn.
Damn.
[kicks soft toy in temper tantrum]
Ow. [soft toy was hiding more of DD's cpra]
Damn.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
It is all just silly jobs I need to get done before the baby arrives.. in the next 10 minutes!
DD1 is seemingly very impressed with her ear piercings..I am glad she is happy with them. She isn't too impressed with them being sore lol.
10 minutes????!!!!!! I do hope you mean the jobs are urgent to you, not that Squeak is putting in an appearance!!!!!!I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -

It looks like things are setting tonight.. I've done heaps of walking today.. well.. waddling in an EXTREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEMELY slow and annoying manner.. but it won't be too long judging by everything else.. I am desperate to hold on until the weekend.. and if it can't make it this weekend then until at least Thursday when the children are no longer at school...LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Evening all,
I think Ds1's Gf must be a good influence on him. He cleaned the car yesterday with minimal fuss, and today he tidied and hoovered the living room, hall and stairs properly without skiving off half way through.:T
OH and I watched about 20 bees go into a hole in the lawn. They were going in about one every 30 seconds. It was amazing to watch. OH was all set to pour some petrol down there and set it in fire to get rid of them. I persuaded him to let me google it first. It appears they're pretty harmless and will leave us alone as long as we leave them alone. I think there may be more than one nest as Ds2 kept showing me funny little holes earlier.
I haven't managed a lot since my last post. Af has arrived and i'm still shattered, i'm going to go to bed very soon i think.

Clean understairs cupboard:eek:If I dont post tomorrow please send a search party:rotfl::rotfl:as I could be lost amongst all the carp in there!
I did quite a bit of the kitchen today so that tomorrow I could add a couple of extra jobs that I want to get done.
I have just realised that I haven't been in the junk draw since about 2 weeks after joining flylady think most of it might need to be binned as I obviously dont need it and I can't even remeber what is in it;):jmember of the thrifty gifty 2011 :j0 -
Awwwwww, tell him I said please leave the bees alone, they're having a very tough time. That and the fact that I think it's against the law to barbeque bees, what with them being protected and all. They'll be gone soon enough, other than the odd solitary female hibernating quietly.
As I remember Piggers, I started feeling stuff on the Monday of half term, went into labour Wednesday and finally spawned DD2 on the Thursday. I think I had decided that she had to be born during half term or she could stay there until it was time for school. So fingers (and other parts) crossed for a summer holiday baby!
BTW THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH for your sympathy!!!!! :rotfl:I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Pigpen you'll have to keep your legs crossed until Thursday.;) Oooo it's exciting, i love it when people have babies.:j
Jojo don't worry i won't let him BBQ the bees. I don't mind them there as long as they don't hurt anyone which from what i've read is very unlikely. I love watching bees, they're always so busy.
The Blokes Mother sounds like a nightmare. I bet you wish you'd just gone on your own.:cool:0 -
