    Hi,

I have been missing for few weeks but can I please be put as permanent lurker. I will come back with my own list and nick some ideas from the list here.

So here goes for this week:

    - Tidy house for cleaning lady so that she has access to all surfaces to be actually able to clean them
    - Get correspondence with DCAs up to date
    - Clean guinea pigs
    - Call and confirm that DD is going to the party she has been invited to
    - Iron DD's party dress
    - Check smoke alarms
    - 15 minutes (at least) sorting paperwork/filing
    - washing up to date, including folding away all the clean stuff :o

    :hello:

Busy day today, hope everyone's well!

So far I have (with the help of my lovely cleaner)

Monday - Living Room, Hall and Stairs
    Level 1
[STRIKE]Declutter and vacuum through the living room, hall and stairs
    Wipe sticky marks from sofas.[/STRIKE]

    Level 2
    [STRIKE]Dusting, even if around everything
    Wipe and water plants

Vacuum under furniture you can manage to move without hurting yourself
    [/STRIKE]
    Level 3
[STRIKE]15 minute hotspot clearance!.. and/or filing
15 minutes sort of the junk on the landing!
Wash any cushions, throws or curtains that need it
    Check the smoke alarms
    [/STRIKE]
    Extras
    1. Clear and wipe window sills
    2. [STRIKE]
    3. Wipe down any paintwork that needs it.
    4. Binbag dance.. Get a binbag.. fill it and bin it!!!
    5. [/STRIKE]
    6. HHI
    I've also:-

    1. Cut the shared grass and my own lawn
    2. Gutted the study and cleaned and hoovered it - its been a tip, the dumping ground since I moved in
    3. Organised for the timber man to come and install firewall next week
    4. Had the electrician round to undertake electrical test, and they're coming back tomorrow to fit an RCD (??)
    5. Phoned a slater who came an hour later to inspect the roof - one slipped slate being put back in place tomorrow
    6. friend came and put up curtain rail in spare room so I've hung the curtains
    7. Friend also fitted fancy new pendant light in sitting room - its fab! (I helped a little!)
    8. I've masking taped the woodwork in the sitting room ready to finish painting in there tomorrow
    9. Eaten dinner already as I made enough last night for tonight, so I didn't give in to my urge for chips!
    10. Put shoe rack up and in hall to keep my weakness tidy....

So a busy day, and numbers 3 4 and 5 I am very happy about, they are mortgage requirements, and I have to have them complete by the end of this month, and I had been procrastinating a little.... :o Also very pleased my friends was able to help with 6 and 7 as they were jobs for 2 sets of hands :D

Things suddenly feel like they are coming together  and all I have to do now is to finish painting the sitting and the fitted wardrobe doors in the spare room. Then every room is fresh and organised. Still 4 or 5 boxes of things to sort through/put away - I think I'll ask the timber man to put down a couple of packs of loft flooring as then I can store things like xmas decorations and inherited ornaments that I want to keep, but don't want on show up there. Its not the easiest access so I haven't ventured there on my own yet!!

Finally, my plug in insect repeller arrived today - I got up the other morning to find a spider on my clothes  SO I now have a thing which supposedly scares them away - here's hoping :T

Hoping for as productive a day tomorrow!

A kid in my class was doing a show and tell today, it was a box with a tiny, and fragile, hinge. I told the class she couldn't pass it round because of this part and asked if anyone knew what it was called. The answer came - 'inge'. 'You're almost right,' I said, 'but you have missed a letter off at the beginning.' - I asked if anyone knew the complete word.

    And the answer came back...

    'minge'

and the award for keeping a straight face goes to
