Hello everyone, :hello:
I am sooooooooo sorry I have not been around and posting for so long. If I'm honest, it's because I've not made any progress in ages and am finding it soooooooooooooo depressing:sad:
However, I'm sure things will start to pick up again soon, and am going to be around to support you all now too!:grouphug:
Big well done to Mirtos for amazing efforts so far (and thanks for the PM- I needed that!)
So, the story with me is that not much has changed on the debt front. Have been making all the minimum payments fine, but have also been spending alot on Christmas, mini-break at New Year, etc.etc. Also, even though I've advertised my car, it's not sold yet so am still hoping that will happen soon to give me an inspirational big boost!
We put our flat on the market this week and have started looking for a new house, not sure how this will affect my finances yet!
This week I'm going to move over £800 that I had saved in an ISA to pay off some of my graduate loan as it's the only one I'm paying commercial interest on at the moment. That should also be a psychological boost.
Apart from that, nothing else to report right now, but I shall have a think about some new goals.

You've just overtaken me! I should use that as some motivation to crack on again!!! :j
DDDK - i think you're far too far ahead of me to be a good target at the moment!!!!! (Maybe when I've sold my car......!).0 -

WOW! £800 off in one fell swoop - that's pretty good going - and you'll save so much in interest I'm sure!
Keep up the good work.

On one hand, permission has been given (it was on a different thread) - but on the other hand, posting it on someone's diary thread is a bit much!

Well that's the thing. One of the best parts of this site is the anonymity. There are very few fame whorres on this site. Even those that lead you to believe they are, aren't when the chips are down."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Debt Now: £15,170.03Mirtos wrote:Goals
1)Ebay my OH's digital camera. Done
2)Sort out DDs to Barclaycard and M&S. Done
3)Do not go in to overdraft more than £200 while awaiting pay cheque on Friday 27th. (I know this is bad, but until I've had a couple of weeks of regular pay, I'm a bit stuck.) Working on it!
4)As soon as Bank charges refund from Barclays arrives, pay it straight off Barclaycard. Done
5)Find at least 1 other item to ebay. Done
6)Get back into the habit of logging in to MSE and Quidco every day. Working on it!
OK. I'm making reasonable process on the goals, but am still feeling frustrated because my paycheques are still just keeping me afloat. After next week, I should hopefully be able to start overpaying again.
I've sold a few more books on amazon, but seeing as I don't get free postage anymore, the profit margins are hugely reduced! I had to buy some new work trousers today as mine are getting embarrassingly tatty, so that has meant I'm further into my overdraft than I intended! I bought them online through Quidco though, so still an MSE expenditure! It also turns out that I'm on the wrong tax code, so I'm in the process of sorting that which should make me slightly better off!
It's both mine and my partners Birthday next month, so it may prove expensive, but I'm going to do my very best to be frugal. I'm really hoping to get money stuff back on track by the end of jan, and then be overpaying again by feb.
so...
Goals for next week:
1) Call court to chase up my bank charges case vs Lloyds after they lost my papers.
2) Keep overdraft low enough for me to be able to pay it off with 1 week's wages.
3)Keep Quidcoing.
4) Have a positive bank balance by the time I post next week.
5) Sort out tax code and arrange a refund if possible.
OK. That's all folks. Sorry to post early, but my boss is back from her holidays tomorrow, and I anticipate a chaotic day!
