  • Ooooh and did I mention that I sent my First Direct charge reclaim letter in a prepaid FD envelope I had sitting around from when I opened the account!

Got a "got your letter" letter shortly thereafter so that seemed to work! Phew!

OK, so my debts haven't gone down this week, and probably won't until next week when I get some salary action hitting my bank account, but in the meantime I have:

    1) Done some YouGov surveys
    2) Applied for a Citibank savings account to get £30 cashback on Quidco
    3) Asked for my PPI on my now paid off Egg loan to be refunded as I believe it to have been mis-sold (in one of their pre-paid envelopes)
    4) Sent my follow up letter for my £50 reclaim of bank charges to FD (in one of their pre-paid envelopes)
    5) NEARLY did some matched betting at the weekend
    6) Chased pensions stuff with my old employer

    All good!

Of course, I won't mention the lapses in spending today. I will however say that I've made sandwiches so far this week very successfully :)

    Goals for next week:
    1) List old phone on ebay!!!!!
    2) List the SIM cards I have on ebay.
3)List that step counter gadget thing I won on ebay!
4)By next post, try to have enough cash in my current account to cover MOT/Service AND still have a cushion!
    5)Spend as little as possible.

    Debt now: £14,674.14 :T

Ok. I haven't done any of this (apart from the not spending bit!) because I'm rubbish! so my goals for next week remain the same - It's all a bit difficult this month because I'm off to florence for a long weekend, have 2 birthdays as well as my own, an anniversary AND valentines day! phew! expensive. But slowly I'm chipping away at it! Thursday is my Birthday, and I'm taking the day off, so hopefully I'll have some time to get my ebay items listed!!!

In the meantime, my amazon sales are picking up slowly slowly and I'm waiting for a cheque from freelance work to clear, so then I'll have almost another £100 to pay off this week, without even dipping in to this weeks pay cheque! I'm setting myself a minigoal of getting my barclaycard balance below £1000 before the end of this month. I've also just received a hearing date for my bank charges case vs Lloyds, so hopefully, some money (just short of £1000) should be winging its way to me soon!

Anyway! that's enough of a ramble for now - thanks for the kick up the bum DDDK!

morning! This is my first post from my sexy new blackberry type phone. I changed to T mobile, got the phone free AND cut my monthly bill :T that makes me happy :) However, my debt is pretty much at a standstill until i've had a few more pay cheques from the new temping job and have got myself organised again. On the upside, my bank charges from barclays should be refunded shortly so that can go straight on debt. I've started selling on amazon again, but so far the profits are fairly small thanks to the new postage costs. I'll be back later to post goals.

Wow what have you got? (Sorry slow on the uptake)
