Do peoples terms put you off bidding?

I've just been looking at a couple of things on ebay that i'm surprised don't have any bids on them with only a few minutes to go. I was looking at the listing and they have in big bold letters:
Please complete payment within 24 hours of end of auction (if you will have difficulty with this please contact me prior to bidding) as I aim to provide a quick service where possible. I will escalate any non-payment via the appropriate eBay dispute channels after 4 days which can result in a non-payment strike, so please only bid if you want the item and you’re prepared to pay.
The maximum time I would take to post your item is SEVEN days from when payment clears
Now this hasn't put me off bidding but I was wondering if this could be a reason that people aren't bidding on the listings. Telling people that they want payment within 24 hours then going on to say it could take up to 7 days to post out.

That one would put me off for sure. 7 days when they want payment within 24 hours? Not a chance.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0 -
Yes. Any sort of aggressive laying down of terms by the seller puts me off. They can project their past experiences onto somebody else, thank you.
And if those terms are one-sided and hypocritical-NEXT.import this0 -
Yes from me too.

Vehicle diagnostic item, Brand new business seller, But with only 6 months warranty? Is that legal?
Put me off buying it.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Hi the buyer pays within 24 hours the seller removes the money from their paypal account and into their bank account and do a runner with the cash this only takes about 5 days and the buyer is still waiting for an item that will never show up.
Now I know before anybody says it that the buyer will get their money back from paypal if this happens however that may take a further 10 days for the paypal refund to happen if the seller does not respond to the claim.
That is 17 days no item and back to square one looking around on ebay to buy the item I want.
Terms and conditions like that put me off totally as the listing could be a complete waste of my time and if the seller is on the level then they know nothing about ebay or how ebay works.0 -
Pretty much no terms and conditions put me off.
I'll bid and buy how I want to because I know what they can and can't enforce.
The only bad seller who makes me change my patterns is a shill bidder, normally sometimes I'll snipe sometimes I won't but with a known shill bidder I will make sure it is sniped- those cheating gits aren't getting a penny more than I have to.
I do understand why it might be worrying though, on personal items I might be a bit hesitant as I want to get the things quickly and safely, but on business I'm quite unputoffable.
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine:kisses2: Fiancee of the "lovely" DaveAshton :kisses2:I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine.

yes them terms would put me off0

No it would not. I buy and sell by Ebay and Paypal rules. I absolutely ignore the private terms and conditions and if I ever have a problem I just use the Ebay and Paypal complaints procedure.
If everyone made up their own terms and conditions then Ebay would be a minefield . If I see terms and conditions, as in " you must pay within 24 hours or you will be reported to Ebay and banned" then I deliberately pay on the last possible date as per Ebay and Paypal rules! I have never had a problem following Ebay and Paypal rules.
However, If someone put on their auction that they were due to go on holiday in 3 or 4 days and would like everything sorted out quickly, then I would help them out.0 -

I don't really understand what shill bidding means?
