Sweet dreams Dizzy. I hope you feel better soon. xx xx
Yaaay, I finally conned a man into making a honest woman of me. Even more shocking is that I can put the words "Happily" and "Married" into the same sentence and not have life insurance on my mind when I say it ;-)

On tonight's menu we have a full roast dinner.

Roast potatoes (7 medium sized ones, roast in a drizzle of Olive oil)
    Big pile of cabbage
    Big pile of carrots
    Runner beans
    Broccoli
Chicken breast. It's going to be hard not eating the skin :-(
    Gravy
Apple Sauce (17 calories per tablespoon)
Stuffing (45 calories for the size of stuffing ball that I'm having)

Don't think I'll be hungry after that lot. If I am, I've got an activia yoghurt for afters!

I'm presuming you've done Extra Easy today so here's the run-down: the roast potatoes could be free if you spray them with Frylight instead of using oil (same for roast parsnips & sweet potatoes, my favourites yum). Cabbage, s/free. Carrots, s/free. Runner beans, s/free. Broccoli, s/free - well done on all the superfree veg :)
Chicken, free (step away from the skin, lol), Syns in gravy, apple sauce and stuffing but if you've had no other syns, you're well within your limits here.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

2? really? im never going to be able to eat that much

Yep! it is definately 2 :)

So far today I have had

    Breakfast: Banana and Muller

    Snacks 2x Alpen lights &

Lunch- ainsley cous cous (1/2 for the full pack) crammed with veg, chopped mushrooms, peppers, red onion, radish with free quark herby dressing :D This is a fave! few blackberries and half a muller.

Dinner is jacket potato, roast chicken, more couscous salad and probably coleslaw but Im going to have to make it with quark as I forgot to get yoghurt ( annoying)

Syns might be snack a jacks. I havent really got much else syn wise in as a snack as I am trying to resist, and I cant have too much in the house as the fairys keep chucking it at me and I cant be trusted to bat them off! ( dilemma)

Tomorrow Im going to make the fruity curry off slimming eats minus the raisins but with apple instead with the left over chicken.

    Hi
I haven't been on for a while but have been following the sw diet with the help of minimins.

I've been doing well until this week when I put on 2lb :(

I've no idea why i've stuck to the plan although have to say that I didn't feel well earlier in the week and that resulted in a loss of appetite so haven't eaten as much as previous weeks.

Would that have an effect? I was so disappointed yesterday I ate chocolate and sweets last night - the first time since starting the diet. I'm doing sw at home so can't ask in class.

I'm back on plan today and hoping that when I weigh in on Monday it'll be good news!

There's often no real reason why you don't lose weight on a particular week, or even gain a little. Could it be your * week is due?

One of the things which people find hard to understand is that they don't lose more weight by eating less, but your body will automatically hang on to any calories you do eat in case there's going to be a famine. If you eat little and often your weight losses will be much better.

I hope you're feeling better now and are able to do justice to your meals - you'll be fine at the next weigh-in I'm sure :)

Couscous for breakfast:eek: Does it taste nice? Is is any special coucous. I do occasionally have the pudding rice for breakfast with fruit and FF Fromage frais but i am not sure about couscous, do you cook it with warm milk???

I love the breakfast couscous with fruit and yoghurt. I use Whitworths plain couscous and pour over just enough boiling water to cover. Leave it to stand with a lid on for 7 or 8 mins by which time it should have soaked up all the liquid. Fluff it up with a fork, add the extras and eat while it's warm - very filling and syn-free on Green or EE plans :)

Hi is Mix 2 Max still allowed?

I did SW years ago but now after having 2 DS I need to lose weight. I have been following the green, red and EE plans but whilst I love the flexibility of EE it is limiting on the HE's. But some meals I will have just a red or a green meal but I may struggle to do it for both lunch and dinner. Just wondered if anyone still did mix2max and whether Consultant31 could advise on the exact rules.

    TIA

The Mix2Max plan was discontinued when Extra Easy came in. However, if you've followed it before and lost weight successfully on it, I see no reason not to carry on. However, you wouldn't be told about it in group any more.

Im really excited with the breakfast couscous idea! I am going to try the apple and cinnamon one tomorrow so Ill let you know how it goes. I expect it to be yum. 2 out of my 3 favourite things, cant be bad, I love cinnamon.

Im actually surprised Ive not seen it before or it isnt more popular here in london, as I read it is THE thing to have in the middle east for breakfast and we have a lot of middle eastern culture here in london.

Maybe a gap in the market :D

I love cinnamon too - just the smell makes my mouth water :)

I've been eating it for breakfast ever since I started SW 6 or 7 years ago but I can't remember where I was told about it. I've always been a Green day girl and love the thought of 'free' meals so it suits me well :rotfl:

Hi, it's a while since I was at a class and I wonderd if somebody could jog my memory ...

... If the class time (according to the sw website) says 7pm, do you have to be there at that time or is that for newbies and can the rest of the class turn up at 7:30 (and still get weighed)?

I am really trying to get going again as classes keep me on the straight and narrow but my hubby often doesnt get home till late on school nights.
