    Hello ladies/losers/newbies :-)

This weekend has been really tough. When I have breakfast I am usually hungry again mid morning, so I eat, and then lunch time comes so I eat again, and for the rest of the day I'm thinking of food so at about 5pm I'll start doing my tea. What doesn't help is that I've not been going to bed until 2am because I can't sleep with worrying and stressing about my weight so am hungry again at about 11pm. I still can't figure out the differences between red days and Extra easy so am basically eating whatever the hell I want and doubt I've lost anything at all.

    Food yesterday was

Breakfast- Porridge with a small sprinkle of sugar (fingers dipped into sugar pot and sprinkled on, instead of piling a teaspoon or 3 on)

Lunch- 3 slices of wholemeal toast with spaghetti hoops

Tea- 4 bits of bacon (dry fried and not even the tiniest bit of fat on them, basically just that round bit you get in the middle) 3 turkey sausages done on the george foreman, mushrooms fried with 3 squirts of frylight, 2 eggs (actually just one but it was a double yolker) a mountain of tinned tomatoes and 1 slice of granary bread. I figured the bread was a syn so synned that, and the sugar which didn't even add up to a quarter of a teaspoon so guessed it at 2 syns (the bread at 6) and loved every bit of it. Feel really disgusted in myself, feel like I've cheated in some way. Didn't do any exercise because of a throbbing headache which I can't seem to shift (still got it today) but I have started drinking lots of water instead of fizzy pop. And haven't touched alcohol. OH has just e mailed me asking if I wanted him to get me any wine on his way home from work but I politely refused and said that there's no way I'm spending money on a slimming class and then cheating at the first opportunity.

Feel really rubbish about the whole thing. I'm so bored with fruit it's shocking and the muller lights are getting on my nerves. OH took one to work and said that something was missing from it.... Bacon lol.

So, I can't wait for WI because then I'll see if all my hard work has paid off!!! Someone said a few pages ago that they feel lighter and I know what they mean. I might even drag OH with me. He wants to lose a bit of weight too but he's too embarrassed to go. Silly boy!

Sorry for rambling, I hate rough days :-( Also think I'm not going to be well for the rest of the week because am having dizzy spells and De ja vu. Never a good sign in my case.

Keep up the good work ladies. I won't let things go wrong, just feeling a bit sorry for myself today!!!
Yaaay, I finally conned a man into making a honest woman of me. Even more shocking is that I can put the words "Happily" and "Married" into the same sentence and not have life insurance on my mind when I say it ;-)

WI for me this morning and the scales are being evil again - 0.75 gain. I did have my splurge on Thursday evening but was not outrageous and apart from that have kept to plan. Hmmm maybe it's just not meant to be.

Hi Screamer, dont feel bad, your days food doesnt look rubbish to me, i think youve done quite well actually if you are still feeling confused over the whole thing! i have tried to understand the EE plan but as im so used to doing red/green it doesnt feel right but i will give it a go when i think things are getting a bit tedious.

All you can do is your best, try not to worry, my first week this time i was sure was going to be a good loss (i lost 1lb) same happened the second week by the third i thought if it doesnt get better im going to get cross (i lost 3lb that week) you just cant tell and weighing mid week is just not helpful

I tend to have my 3 meals without snacking and leave all my fruit and syns till later in the evening so i dont get that hungry feeling just before i go to bed (i cannot sleep if im hungry) i dont really get hungry in between meals but if i did i would drink a big glass of water and have some chopped up veg, you can prepare that the night before so its ready or first thing. The thing i used to do before, was make up a huge batch of free soup and freeze some then you can have it as and when

I hope you feel better soon, when is your WI?

Glad it's not just me that doesn't understand :rotfl:

I'm going to go back and work out all the syns over the week when I get home tonight.

I do mostly green with a bit of EE - I don't eat much meat. Take no medication (apart from occasional antihistamines) - do exercise. I really don't see what else I can do.
I know that it's going to be a long term thing - but if its going to take months to get there I have to be allowed to let-go occasionally otherwise I will just fall off the wagon completely.

From hazy memory on Thursday I had 5 halves of lager and a mojito.

well I've polished off my lunch now - AH couscous with tomaot ionion and sweetcorn salad, fiollowed by fruit salad and a FF Activia yoghurt. Will continue to resist the box of chocs on my friends desk that she keeps waving in my direction and come up with a plan of action tonight.

    Thanks for the support

I dont think it looks too bad either screamer:

    A few things

    1) why not get granulated sweetener then its free whenever you want
    2) if you know you are going to be bored and eating, why not plan to go out for the full day, taking a packed lunch with you? I love to go for long walks, this weekend I must have done 20 miles plus over the three days. When Im out I don't really think about eating, but we went out for a nice lunch at a japanese place and it felt like a real treat but it was low syn.
    3) why are you sitting up worrying about your weight? Worrying just wont help at all! You are doing something about it so stick to what you are doing. If you are bored and pondering why not stick an exercise vid on or walk around the block, then you are doing something about your situation instead of sitting still and worrying. If you cant stop worrying then I wonder if you have tried meditating, I dont do it often but I do when feeling overwhelmed and it brings a lot of calm.

Hope you feel better about what you are doing. Are you bored of fruit, are you trying lots of different things, or having the same things all the time?
