Also, i dont know if anyone knows this but t what age are children allowed to follow this plan and what are the differences between this and what they would be allowed?

The 11- 15s have a program called Free2go on SW.

Their day should be made up of 80% free food, 15% HEs (they dont have a limit as far as i can tell) and 5% less nutritious food (i.e one portion of either pizza, choc bar or bag of crisps for example.

I guess if they are younger and are eating the meals you are i guess they would be just fine so long as they have extra milk and things like that.

I'm not an expert so I'm sure Consultant31 would be able to answer the question better when she's online :)

Thanks for that, i am at a delicate point with my daughter, who is beginnig to take after me poor kid, but she is only 12 so i cant sit her down and tell her she needs to cut stuff out of her diet cos she is putting on weight, she will probably slim right down when she has a growth spurt, but she doesnt seem to know when to stop eating and im cooking the healthiest stuff i can but dont know what else to do:cool:

On the SW site there is something called free2go for 11to15 year olds (they can go to group free with a paying adult. here is the basic difference on the plan (I just copied and pasted the first section).....From how I read it they have 3 HE choices a day of some(milk, cheese, fibre bars) but of others they can be unlimited ie bread & cereal ??

    Free2Go - easy2see

    1. Free Food - always first!
    • Eat as much of this as you want.
    • Reach for it when you're hungry.
    • At mealtimes pile your plate with Free Food.
    • Green and Original Free Foods can be mixed - anything goes!!
Free Foods = 80% of daily food

    2. Healthy Extras - a close second place!

    • Enjoy your Healthy Extras as part of your main meals or as snacks.
    • Most Healthy Extras are unlimited – eat as much as you want! Limit full fat milk, cheese, nuts, oil and Hifi bars to 3 choices each day.
Healthy Extras = 15% of daily food

    3. Less nutritious foods - Foods that aren't free or Healthy Extras
    – choose these last.

    • Swap these foods for Free Food or Healthy Extras when you feel a snack-attack
      coming on.
    • Sugary snacks aren’t banned altogether – life would be hard without them. First aim to halve the amount of these foods you usually have, and then halve it again.
    • Your ultimate aim is to cut it down to one portion a day - whether that’s a pizza, a chocolate bar or your favourite packet of crisps.
Less nutritious food = 5% or less of daily food

i'm ironing too Dizz, and my daughter gets a new-to-her wardrobe today from Freegle, now tell me you all Freegle? its a site dedicated to giving away your rubbish thats stuck in the cupboard under the stairs,i've given, received and made some great friends with it,its ACE! :money:

so i may not be here, but know with the effort of lifting a wardrobe AND holding everyones hand i shall be farting a-plenty ;)
Hello Susan and all of you! I love ironing, I did a load this morning inthe sun (it was only sunny until about 8 am, and by then I had ironed and had a game of scrabble & a coffee with a friend *smug*). We still call it Freecycle in this area, Susan, but I'm a big fan. I get rid of loads of stuff on there, and have found useful things too. Mind, I've been a freecycler all my life as I had two older girl cousins who used to pass on bags full of clothes they had outgrown; I just loved investigating those bags when I was little and being able to have lots of new outfits. And, best of all, once the cousins were teens, some of the sweaters had SWEAT STAINS under the arms and I thought that made ME look older :D. (we are talking about 50 yrs ago here; I've grown out of that idea now)

I'm about to make some SW chips in the halogen stove so I'm going to mix up a couple of those onion bhajis using smash to cook alongside to see if I like them, rather than make a load and decide I don't like them.

I still have about ten pages of you lot chatting (and making me laugh) to catch up on.
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

welcome msgnomey, you will find loads of help here, as i have recently done.

Is there anyway you can get your books back or share them with your friend?
