P.S: Made lovely dinner last night with the glut or courgettes that my father in law brought from his allotment. Cut up about 7 of them (green and yellow) and put them in the slow cooker with a tin of chopped tomatoes, some tabasco, some worcestershire sauce and some oregano oh and a bit of vecon, cooked all this down then added 2 onions and 2 cloves of garlic which I had cooked till brown and sticky in a frying pan with a tablespoon of olive oil to add flavour. Served with quorn sausages and cous cous flavoured with vecon. Surprisingly delicious. My little one loved it too and ate all the courgette mix first and was then pointing to my plate for my as yet uneated courgette (he's 21 months and absolutely loves fruit and certain vegetables....he can eat an entire bunch of asparagus, so I'm hoping he doesn't go my way)

That sounds am-a-zing!! i have a ton of courgettes in my house atm where they are in abundance on the allotment. I'm running out of ideas of what to do with them....

that sounds like a pretty good idea of what i can do with them :D Great recipe!!

    Good morning everyone.

I am going to make the chicken curry from the curry book tonight, see how the family likes it. There is a tin of tomatoes in it, but no other vege apart from onion. Does the tinned tomato count as the superfree then?

I really need to lose this weight, I am going on a plane in October and I need to be able to do up the seatbelt. It was a tight squeeze last time but my daughters were sitting either side of me. I am on my own this time. I think I will die of embarrassment or will burst out crying if I can't do it up or make the person sitting next to me hate me for taking up so much room.

So there, I have said it and it will have to help keep me motivated.

What motivates you all to keep going?

Yup the tinned toms are superfree :)

I also have a small side salad of finely shredded lettuce, sliced cucumber, toms and a wedge of lemon... kinda like what you get with your starter in an indian resturant. I usually have it on the side with my bhajis and HM cucumber raitha......mmmmmmm

When i went to Rome in november i had to make the seatbelt on the plane the biggest it could go and then i had to breathe in to do it up. That was the first moment where i said "jeez i need to lose weight"

The second one was a pic i had taken by the trevi fountain. I'm dressed in all black and i look huge! (I was a 24/26 then) I have that pic up along with a pic of me 2 and a half stone lighter.. (size 22) and i now just have to look at my maxi dress that i wore on thursday night which is a size 20 to see how well i've done! Thats what keeps me motivated....

.... that and the thought that i can be slim and toned if i keep going :D
All hail to the sale!!!!!!

    Morning all

Just popped in to post today's menu. Nothing much happening here as it is looking like it's going to rain. I'm supposed to be cleaning but can't be bothered ;)

    So food looks like this:
    Saturday – Green
Drinks –Milk (HEA), Coffee, Water, Apple tea
Breakfast – Porridge (6.5) banana and strawberries
Mid morning snack -Alpen light (1/2 HEB)
Lunch –Baked potato, baked beans, cheese (HEA), pineapple, passion fruit and Muller light
Mid afternoon snack – Alpen light (1/2 HEB)
Dinner – Chicken (HEB), savoury rice and vegetables, yoghurt with syn free lemon curd
    2 A's and 2 B's plus 6.5 syns

The porridge needs using as I have a load of the flavoured ones, so I'm going to fit them in every now and again. Once it's gone I can go back to plain porridge and save my syns for later in the day.

    Take care all, K

  • hi i have been reading this thread , i joined sw last tuesday.
i've been doing green days as i don't eat much meat anyway and i like to be able to have 2 HEB's.

last night i went out for a work do and had gammon, jacket potato with loads of veg.
i tried to syn the gammon , but wondered could i have counted it as an EE day as i ate tonnes of superfree food at lunch , and only ate 1 of my HEB ??????

also does anyone know how many syns in a celebration chocolate ?
it was a maltesers one , i've guessed 2.5 but would like to know exactly !

    thanks ,
    lou.

as long as you had a good amount of superfree at breakfast and tea aswell (or enough to roughly make up a 1/3 of total volume what you ate rest of stuff thru day) then doing an EE day will be fine with only 1HEB & 1HEA ;)
