I have to say I am finding meal planning a lot more difficult with this than i thought, in that fruit doesnt last that long. I just ate bluberries I bought a couple of days ago and they are just about ready to be on last legs. Some fruit lasts a lot longer like pineapples, bananas, apples and I guess satsumas. But soft fruit like strawbs raspberries and the like don't seem to. Im going to get hold of a couple of bags of the frozen berries today as seem a lot cheaper than fresh, even though I try to get fresh at the market, but cos its cheap it doesnt last long!
Another good thing I made the other day was mushrooms a la greque, good with a salad plate and cheap as I got a massive box ( eg greengrocers box!) of mushrooms for £1. I also made a mushroom sauce for pasta with loads of mushrooms, onions, quark and LFFF. I blended this instead of using flour as a thickener. Soups also good for this, now the wether is turning I might start making big soups although I do tend to eat lots of bread when I have soup  Maybe on soup days I'll do green days
Im a bit confused with red & green but can understand it I guess but having no scales is a bit of a bind. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
enjoy your day girls, (and guys?)
my kettle blew up today,so thats my washer, fridge ish and kettle all in one week! good job you all have my hand else i'd be in the bin by now
What the hells going on at the moment, its as if the appliance fairy is trying to sabotage our efforts:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

Re-read my book so I am a bit clearer on superfree, etc.
Good job we have hens and I am not paying for all these eggs!
It is raining here too but the veg needs it, Lynz, my first pumpkin is forming - so thanks again.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
Hi Turbo
I read that it doesnt have to be 1/3rd of each plate, more 1/3rd of what you eat. Does that make sense? So a massive fruit salad for breakfast and pudding would outweigh say egg on toast at lunch
Yep Lynz that about sums up how Our consultant explained it.....its just simply not possible with some meals to get 1/3 superfree to go with it e.g SW fish chips & mushy peas would be pretty grim with a 1/3 plate salad or cabbage lol _pale_ so you could pre emt this with a big fruity breakfast & yog plus having fruit for pud.
Anyways.....Its dark here, looks like rain :undecided oh playing golf this aft so its a quick trip to asda this morn (well as quick as it can be when youve got me with you walking like an old drunken fart ):rotfl::rotfl:then home for some ironing, a bit of my uni work and prob a good old discussion on bowel movements farts and wobbly bits.......unless susan is off out for the day- then the conversation might be a little more tame:laugh:

My fridge died this week too  Obviously couldn't cope with all the green stuff that's been in it instead of chocolate!!! Got a nice shiny new one coming anytime today. Some people see the glass half full, others see the glass half empty - the enlightened are simply grateful to have a glass0 -
I saw Pricilla Queen of the Desert in London the other day and despite eating out I managed to not be Nuninge Queen of the Dessert and opted for a salad instead. So only 8 syns that day and I'm sure I burnt most of that off with the dancing! Has anyone else seen it? It is brilliant. (Pricilla....not my dancing that is!)
I had a wedding reception last night and managed to avoid the cake and what looked like bacon butties that were going round! Had 4 vodka and diet cokes instead and thoroughly enjoyed them. Hated the dress that I was wearing but it was the only thing that would fit and I wasn't goingto buy aything else at this size to not be able to wear it agian in a coupla months so spent most of the night trying to contain my cleavage and wishing that I had bought those suck you in knickers!
Have a BBQ today (despite the weather!) and am not sure what to eat. It is at my best friends house as a house warming and due to the cost of moving they are keeping it very simple with burgers and sausages. I could have a really lovely meal if I took along some salmon, chicken, steak something like that but it is a bring a bottle party and although my firend wouldn't mind, I wonder whether it would look odd to everyone else to be taking own food.
Final thing, I bought some mug shots the other day after seeing people on here mentionin that they have eaten them. I'm assuming they are free on Green are they?
THanks,
Nuninge
P.S: Made lovely dinner last night with the glut or courgettes that my father in law brought from his allotment. Cut up about 7 of them (green and yellow) and put them in the slow cooker with a tin of chopped tomatoes, some tabasco, some worcestershire sauce and some oregano oh and a bit of vecon, cooked all this down then added 2 onions and 2 cloves of garlic which I had cooked till brown and sticky in a frying pan with a tablespoon of olive oil to add flavour. Served with quorn sausages and cous cous flavoured with vecon. Surprisingly delicious. My little one loved it too and ate all the courgette mix first and was then pointing to my plate for my as yet uneated courgette (he's 21 months and absolutely loves fruit and certain vegetables....he can eat an entire bunch of asparagus, so I'm hoping he doesn't go my way)Make £2012 in 2012 member #88

Good morning everyone.
I woke up with a rumbling tummy, it must be because I didn't do my usual Friday night binge on crisps and chocolate (and waking up in the middle of the night with indigestion) so I just ate 2 nectarines to tie me over until I make proper breakfast.
I am going to make the chicken curry from the curry book tonight, see how the family likes it. There is a tin of tomatoes in it, but no other vege apart from onion. Does the tinned tomato count as the superfree then?
And I am going to try Niandras bhaji recipe too.
I really need to lose this weight, I am going on a plane in October and I need to be able to do up the seatbelt. It was a tight squeeze last time but my daughters were sitting either side of me. I am on my own this time. I think I will die of embarrassment or will burst out crying if I can't do it up or make the person sitting next to me hate me for taking up so much room.
So there, I have said it and it will have to help keep me motivated.
What motivates you all to keep going?0 -
