Which is better, iPhones or HTC's or even BlackBerry's? They all have their pros and cons but which do you think works out to be most useful?

It should be obvious that the one with the most pro's for the user will find that unit best

HTC/Android, for the innovation. HTC are an under-rated firm (and slightly unknown in UK) because of the over-exposure of the Apple brand, but HTC (especially the latest range: Desire especially!) does pretty much all the features of the iPhone - and more! Android for the open-ness, most free apps (proven - google it :P), lot's of customisation, few restrictions - generally what ever comes out on iPhone platform is being ported to Android. And again (google news :P), Android has been voted the best platform for developers of apps - so Android is the future!
iPhone, however, becomes outdated so quickly - every couple of years the next one comes out and the previous looks obsolete - i.e. iPhone original to iPhone 3G. So people feel pressure of keeping the "iPhone street cred" by upgrading each time the new one comes out and wasting money on a highly over-priced device.
Blackberry, used to be a great innovation, but touch screens have become so much better. No need for a full QWERTY keyboard when one on screen does such a great job. Their OS is clumsy, hardly updated, and has few apps in comparison to the former two. Blackberry messenger? Great idea, but overall that can't win it over for me.

So all in all I say to all: open your eyes - there is more than just the iPhone! Android is a whole new (exciting!) world, constantly being updated by the best. An Android device for everyone! (cheaper than iPhone too! what could be better?! - oh yeah, one thing actually... having better UK mobile networks for mobile internet!)

Really? Does Skype exist on Android? Does Amazon app exist on Android? Yes Android is open market but because of that there is so much cr ap on Android market that its difficult to find any decent apps..i would rather pay for decent apps on the iphone.

Errrr you will find that Apple release a new phone every 12 months whereas HTC release a new one every 4 minutes.

I hate Apple but i love the iphone for what it actually does, not who its made by. I also have a Nexus One so familiar with Android.

    Apparently so.

Does Amazon app exist on Android?
    That too, it seems.

Not sure why I'd want either but hey, ho ...

I think by "HTC" you mean any android phone, right? HTC isn't the only company making android phones.

Skype is only available on a handful of Android handsets, i can assure you its not available on the nexus one. Skype is really useful for sending cheap SMS messages overseas, not to mention cheap calls overseas using your 3G internet connection.

As for the amazon app, just searched for it on Android Market on my N1 but still couldn't find it...why is that then?
