Oooooh CC, I knew you were a yuppy I just knew it ! :D
I have one yuppy posh DIL and one nice one.

    What ARE you implying????:D:D

I USED to be yuppy and posh: then I retired, downsized and became a born-again hippy. My DS is always saying, why do you and dad think you're farmers? :D

My DH used to be a company director. He is now an electrician, but he is much happier and I see him more often (not sure if this is always a good thing, LOL). I was a marketing director, but I didn't see my kids. So we upped sticks and moved dahn sarf.

And I'd love a pair of your socks.

It sounds lovely, if she doesn't want it you can always send it to me ;) .......unless of course it's pink.....I don't do pink

You all keep mentioning this housework thing, is that what you do in between the nice things like knitting and sowing? I am the daughter of a woman who could vaccuum a new carpet bald in a fortnight and at the age of 80 changes her curtains and bedding every week. Caught her flipping her mattress last week -again! My house is clean but basically untidy though now my Ds is back home I am doing better - he is very very tidy unlike his sister and the gang when they lived here.

At the moment I am packing up most of my worldly goods and putting them in the garage ( which is 5 minute walk away) ready for the builders to come in and Im not enjoying myself at all but realise its a necessary evil. So i seem to be following myself round and getting annoyed with things - like sorting out a huge pile of stuff for the CS and the tip then losing the binbags :mad: But I am getting somewhere now and love the fact i keep finding things I had forgotten about, ribbons and sock wool and other useful junk:rotfl:

When I prise the camera from DH I will post some pics of my throws
Clearing the junk to travel light
    Saving every single penny.
    I will get my caravan

I can handle small amounts of very "hot" pink but generally.... Agree with DN who refuses to wear anything pink or girly.

Which makes it as lot easier for me choosing.

Anyway m, if she likes pink, let her have pink.
