    Anyone got a storm kettle?

No but I really, really want one! Have been looking and balking at the price for years and they are now nearly twice as much as when I first looked!

We do, however, have a BBQ/firepit made out of an old lorry wheel - well that's all it is really with a salvaged oven rack on top!

Maybe look up rocket stoves - they can be made out of a couple of those big catering oil cans. if you have ash or sand, use that to insulate.

Sounds great. As long as it cooks, who cares?

I've got a Kelly Kettle, but my youngest son seems to have pinched it. Amazing things.

Which is why he "borrowed it". What happens if you ask for it to be returned, mardatha?

I have seen some very battered ones still working - think something large (branch or somesuch) landed on one of them.

Here we are again, chaps. We've survived the end of the world as we know it and we're on to Day Four - sublime to the ridiculous, back to something far more doable.

    Have fun!
