and of course :j:j:j:j:j:j for Mazza's bag and Vix's boots.

I woke up at 3 a.m. last night and just couldn't get back to sleep -- I wonder if that burnt any extra calories?

weighed myslf this morning -aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh its the unlucky 13 i was desperate not to get too. however have walked 6 miles today, normally only go as far as the kitchen for the car keys lol, dug out one of the dodgy pedometers and promptly dropped it down the loo and flushed before i realised so its gone, did well in Mrt's as i usually buy a big slab of tablet and sit and eat it in the car before i even leave the carpark so the kids and other half dont know (guilt or greed???) none today but it was difficult - i have a really sweet tooth and love chocolate too but have not had any at all today in fact have been really good, beans on toast for lunch, chicken fillet, low cal coleslaw and a wee bit of extra mature cheddar then a treat of couple dessert spoons of ice cream, and thats my lot, DS has a friend in for a sleepover so was going to make pancakes but i always eat about the first 4 to make sure they are ok (am i the only one that does this?). went looking for a bike today, local charity shop has a few for about £30-40, so do i buy a bike or join a slimming club (cant afford both) decisions decisions - does anybody else go cycling and how do find it for helping shift the lard or toning up the wobbly bits? right away to make pancakes but am not even going to have one - promise!

p.s. am jealous of the boots - love them -my calves are too big and i struggle to get boots unless i pay a fortune

amazing boots mazza! (and nice legs too - wish I could wear shorts like that!)

Glad you had a fun shopping trip vix

skintbint I have just got a bike and it is really good - exercise and transport rolled into one. It really tones your legs (and makes them ache!)

Hmm tablet, now that's a northern thing :rotfl: Love it too skintbint!!!

Would WW or SW give u the motivation that you need, or would the support on here be enough for you? I've found on here is enough for me, but it depends on the individual.

My legs look mega flabby in one of those pics  Which is amazing as I don't have flabby legs, must have been the way i was standing lol or maybe they are getting flabby now that i'm not walking so much. Dunno, been going around asking my sis and friends , are my legs getting fatter or is that just a real bad photo?

And btw skintbint, they stretch :rotfl:

  • Ok there is no easy way to say it but my Mum has Kidney Cancer and if we are lucky she will live past christmas.

So right now I have a gaping hole in the middle of my body and all I want to do is fill it with cake, biscuits and chocolate but I am doing everything in my power not to eat anything out of my eating pattern.

Also I know I am a worry eater and normally eat to stop anguish which I now know I cannot do.

My exercise has stopped due to time problems and right now Weight loss is a real battle. I feel like I am standing in the middle of an earthquake and the world is falling down around me but I don't know how much long I can still stand.... :(

So I hope you can understand a little how I am feeling and why I am a little distracted at present.........

Well done on all the losses so far and I will weigh in tomorrow as normal but I am not looking for a normal loss.
    Restarting C25K in 2014 - Week 8 - 1/3 completed

Alli :(:(:(:( Big hugz being sent your way hon. My mother also had kidney cancer, luckily it was contained in one kidney, which could be removed, and she was able to go on with life as normal. My heart goes out to you and your family at this difficult time hon. I think you are doing the right thing with trying not to over do things on the diet. It's so easy to slip into old ways especially with comfort eating. All I can advise is for you to try your best to eat sensibly and keep yourself well during this difficult time.

Well, I forgot to mention, I haven't got Friday off for the funeral, but got a couple of hours off instead. Blah Blah Blah, too much sickness, too many on holiday etc etc. Luckily the funeral isn't until 1.15pm, so will leave at 12:30 and that should give me plenty of time to get there.

Posting a miserable STS this week, probably better than expected due to the week I've had. TOTM, death in the family, sick kids and puking cat (damn furballs!!) Sorry to let the naughty northerners down, but next week is another week....... here we go again :(

classic carb addiction, it can be broken thou

one thing i would say is that one of the best ways to support others in a times of duress is to look after yourself, if you put yourself first at least part of the time it will allow you to be stronger and there to help others
