Thank you LT and Maty. :)

Ani, that's the exact same excuse I use every time Mum tried to get me to read yet another book! :D Geraniums and daffs will grow in the same space though they might need supplementary feeding from August till mid-Autumn. However you would get ehe stubs of the geraniums clustered round the daffs in the winter till the new leaves grow so that might not suit if you like a tidy garden.

Great that the roof is back in one piece. :)

It's pouring again here - has been for days, it seems. Mt Washmore vs Miggy is an unequal struggle. There's laundry draped everywhere and the dryer is going. :( This is not MS. :(:naughty:

DH and DS1 are both on days off today so they sorted out some heavy furniture that needed to be moved. My contribution has been to acknowledge we don't need so many recycled padded envelopes so I've baled some up to send to DH's work (DH's work - yay! :D) where they will be used time and again.

I am headachey from too much time indoors and too much computer so i will now try to get my act together and go out.

I tell you what. I'm the worlds worst gardener. Why don't you just come round and do my garden for me? :rotfl:

I guess you'd know what all this green things are, which keep sprouting from my garden.

The small ones are leprechauns and the large ones are probably Ents but without seeing them I can't be sure.

I'm the world's slowest gardener but if you can put up with that just let me know where. :)

Went to the shops, got last minute stuff for DS1's birthday... resisted helium balloons at £32 for a canister of helium!

DS is loving the idea of an ISA and has even been to chat to his bank about it!

Other than that I haven't made a lot of progress on anything today.

    Yay balloons! :j

It's been rather a 'yay' day here so far, between DS's birthday and Ani's good news (whatever that may be).

Only one helium balloon here (DS was delighted with it, also with the confetti all over the breakfast table - 'Nobody's ever given me a helium balloon before!') but loads of ordinary balloons underfoot and confetti on the breakfast table which is now spreading wide and far.

A real Ron Weasley birthday: 'Good haul this year'! Won't give all the details in case he gets mugged. :D

I'm off to look for chocolate cake ingredients. :)

First the heatwave and drought, then snow and now the deluge. We live in interesting times, Mr A.
