I don't imagine the CRB would find anything amiss with you if they searched for years. :)

I've worked out who the CRB was for. See post 1411.

I got together all the receipts from the last couple of weeks bar one which has escaped, and I've worked out the savings - my new total is £972.77! I'll add the other receipt later if I can find it and the mortgage savings when I make the next £10 overpayment.

I somehow don't think I'm going to hit the £2K/2 stone target from Mr B's challenge by April 23rd, but it's encouraging to know I've lost a little bit of weight and have, by dint of extra work and savings when shopping, made us nearly £1,000 better off since Christmas. Mind you in one way or another the money has found its way out of the account again - but that's £972.77 we wouldn't have had but for my efforts which is encouraging.

    Thank you. :)

It's very motivating - even if I immediately go out and spend the money I've saved (!), it still means our income is going further.

Today I've been searching through papers for some stuff my friend sent on to me months ago and which she's queried about... Migs is in trouble! :o I don't want to admit I've lost it and someone have to send off for duplicates. :o

The search is about to be suspended for a while as I want to head into town to enquire about an ISA for DS1 (putting a bit of money into savings for him with the objective of inspiring him to start saving).

After that I owe Mum a visit. I've had some cheques come in for her about which I knew nothing - somewhere along the line the powers that be have decided she's owed some money. The building work has been delayed on her house but all the same this will free some money to go into her savings - and I think I will find her something as a treat to celebrate! Of course that's a bit tricky when she doesn't leave the building and only has limited storage there but I'm sure I can think if something. What do you buy someone is their eighties who has all their daily needs sorted? I've emailed the other person with Power of Attorney as well to fill them in.

So... off to two different banks then the nursing home. Before that I'm going to have one more quick search for the missing papers and also for the parcel my sister sent to Mum which has disappeared. :doh:_pale_

    TTFN.
