    Thanks Muffy :).

I'm not too bad apart from The Cold, about which I've been trying unsuccessfully not to moan - a good example of how a correct sentence sounds wrong. ;)

I feel I haven't got a lot done today, largely due to bouts of sniffles and sneezing, but with the help of a lot of antibacterial hand wash I've at least finished the donation for my friend's charity event. :) The soup went down well for tea and there's spare to go in the freezer which is handy. I can't claim an NSD as there was £5 to pay for the window cleaner, but we still have £20 housekeeping till Sunday which isn't as bad as we thought. In fact if we spend it all I shall want to know why.

First car boot sale of the season tomorrow. Of course I should pack up some stuff and flog it in true MS style, thus creating space and cash, but right now I'm not sure I'll make it as a buyer let alone a seller. If I do go though I mustn't go mad!

Oh, if you do go to the car boot as a seller, you must give me some tips please xx
Sorry that you have my cold ;-)

I can't blame you for the cold, Rose - it's been going round the family for the last few weeks. However I am quite happy to pass it on to you should you wish. ;)

We went to the car boot but not as sellers (I've never done that - could take a bit of psyching myself up). Met DD and her b/f there but they didn't buy anything. I spent 30p on a vase and if I'm good I'll get rid of one we already have as we're short of space. The one I've got is more what I need though - small and simple.

DH bought a couple of old radios to Ebay and found a man selling, among other things, a couple of bikes. Long story short, he paid £25 for one. It's a bit squeaky - looks as though it's been in someone's garage for months - and the gears need work, so we will have to spend a few pounds to get it roadworthy, but it's what he wanted (and he will certainly get the use from it).

So all in all a bargainaceous morning. :)

Thanks, but no. As you know I've been ill recently and would prefer to stay well for a while. ;)

We've got as little pile of stuff that we could do with selling, daft stuff like a mug tree full of mugs and a pair of wellies to name but two. Too heavy to go on eBay.

Us too... those spare vases will probably go to charity because they won't post easily. Mind you I'm happy that someone else will benefit.

Went to the retail park this afternoon and got Mum some flowers and a card for Mothering Sunday, which is all very well, but I then spent £27 on clothes for myself! I checked funds earlier so I knew the money was there to be spent and I still need some new stuff but hadn't expected to spend that much.

Oh dear, I hope having a PJ day helps. I think you said you had new meds too didn't you? Changing meds is likely to rock the boat until your system gets used to them (as you know - sorry). As you say, you might need to increase your dose... or not... Will pray for you. :)

We have sunshine and it's not freezing here - not as warm as it was though. Mind you I'm temperaturey, ears feel funny, sniffly etc. And I thought I'd escaped this round of colds, ha!

No list today, I'll just see how things go.

Have a good day all! (BTW Hovel Lady - I really appreciate you keeping popping in! Do you have a new diary? I haven't found one yet).

Flu keeps coming and going :p.....paranoia a lot better :)....I just rested....anyhow one e-cig working (See FB) so finally slept (pre it working) when I found my inhalator. Daren't put this on the stopping smoking thread as they'll just say to come off the nic all together but I need my sleep!!!! It's bad enough changing meds without having to like quit the nic too. Just not ready...

Funny I kind of accepted the phone being dead. Figured out to put in in rice. Phoned Ma to say I probably wouldn't be texting in the am and nowt to worry about and got on with things. Then it worked. :T....I would have been lost without it but still. I find accepting stuff when stuff dies/gets lost so much easier than stressing and thinking of it as a sanctifying phenomena. Wish other folk I know would do the same thing (mentioning no names publically) and I've had such a bad week with hormones that it kind of like felt like a conclusion to my bad week....so felt okay.

Yeah and I now have a wee allotment though no idea how I'm going to get tools down there as there's like 0 room on my plot for a shed :p..... and it's supposed to be for locals but I'm 2 miles away :rotfl:. It's just tiny but still...

Lucky you with an allotment! If you make friends with other allotment holders maybe one would let you have a corner of their shed for heavy stuff like a spade?

I keep making resolutions to grow veg but between slugs and neighbourhood cats they get destroyed before they start. I save ideas on Pinterest in the hope of miraculously getting greener fingers.

Glad you're feeling better... my temp's still a bit up and down but other than that I think I'm winning - and I didn't have a new lot of meds to cope with. I think you're quite right not trying to stop smoking at the same time as changing meds. It's a case of choosing your battles.

Yay to your phone coming back to life! We tried the rice thing with DD's phone when it got soaked and it worked. I would hate to be without mine even if it isn't a smart phone - what I'll be like if ever I get a smart phone, I don't know... probably sleep with it under my pillow... oh wait... I do that anyway. :D

I hope the other e-cig dries out. Have you got it in rice too or wouldn't that work?

Well it's church in half an hour so I am going to put on my new yellow jumper and make the world think I'm a daffodil. Time I got moving. :)

I had the e-cig in rice for almost a day...now given up with it...rice is damp to touch anyways....

So like it's just on the coffee table drying out but yeah it has a microprocessor in it so the rice was logical :)

Phones can take a few days to dry out in rice from what I remember - give the e-cig a bit longer maybe? That's if you've got some more rice.

Our homegroup took the evening service yesterday and although I was feeling tired I decided to go and support them. So glad I did - it was all very encouraging. :)

This morning is bright and beautiful and I have a mountain of washing as DS1 is back from a week away. :)

We've also had a phone call from the bike shop to say £180 to mend DH's bike! Well, we have it and it has to get used for something. :D I'm not going to fret about it because thinking it could be tucked away in savings doesn't really make sense - only if we need to draw on it which in this case we are doing before putting it away rather than after, IYSWIM.

I'm working on my faith right now and as most people reading will know this is important to me I won't apologise for putting this in (if people aren't happy with it they don't need to read). So... God's arm is not too short to provide for us. If that seems like a strange image, imagine trying to reach for something that's just beyond your finger tips. My focus therefore isn't going to be on panic although I know DH's job interview is this time next week. I do need to make sensible money decisions though and give myself a kick up the backside to get a discount at Mr A sorted through the scheme my work started a few months ago.

If you don't hear from me for a while the washing pile fell on me... otherwise I expect I shall be back to chat because I have the house to myself and want some company. :)
