    I've been Money Tipped!
OP - didn't say you were hounding anyone out of a job, just that a campaign from parents to remove the teacher was pointless as parents hounding a teacher out of a job would get the unions in arms.

I think you're doing the right thing. DD is happy (how sad that she panicked walking past her class and even sadder that it was enough for the head to notice it). The head seems onside with this and is ensuring DD is happy. Still think the head should be chasing county more...there are 29 other kids in that class the head has a duty to protect as well. Not your responsibility OP, but hers. I hope she gets back to you soon with an update...and when she does, please let us know what happens.

    All the best.

I will do most definitely, I agree that the head has a duty to protect the other children but as you say that is down to her to ensure and not me, as long as my DD is happy then im happy!

I just hope that if this doesn't go any further that there are no more similar incidents in which the head finds herself kicking herself that she didnt do more first time round!

My DD2 starts there in reception in September albeit in a different class and i know a few of the mums from nursery whose children are going into the class my DD1 has been in, they are aware of the situation and have already said they will be keeping a very close eye on their kids when they start in September!

Not without just cause or reason.

Best result a campaign from parents will do is get the teacher off on sick leave, still employed by the school and still has to come back as contracted to work.

Plus the unions would have a field day, no doubt getting lawyers involved for letting parents hound a teacher out of their job.

None of that concerns me. What concerns me is that there is a teacher there with small children and she terrifies them and assaults them. I wouldn't care how she was removed, as long as she was.
