I made the soup 2 days ago. It was lovely. The day before I cooked some lentils for a lasagne and used the water as well. I added salt & pepper after cooking too.Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0

Wow. i have been a life long vegetarian (Mum couldn't eat meat when she was carrying me) and in those far off days I was regarded as weird.
My meals were mostly same as everyone else minus the meat.
Over the years I adapted recipes to suit myself and have many recipes but this thread stunned me.
A meal planner, shopping list AND recipes.
Would you like to adopt me Gingham?:rotfl:
Thank you so much, I have copied the planner, list and recipes into word and will have a day of printing off.

Gingham_Ribbon wrote: »Don't think I mentioned: Cheese puddin' is simply scrambled egg with grated cheddar cooked into it. If you give the eggs a good whisk with a little milk until frothy, cook very gently, stirring constantly and add the cheese about half way through, it will have a lovely, crumbly but moist texture to it, very different to plain scrambled egg.
Oooohh, I have this a lot. Delicious with a side of bacon (for non veggies of course!)0 -
Thanks for boosting this up. Whilst not veggie I love some veggie food but don't really know how to make it tasty (apart from soup!) and want to increase the amount of veg that my dd eats. I shall be trying some of the recipes.

Gingham Ribbon,
such excellent ideas, thank you for inspiring our budget lead vegetarian exsistence. My partner and I have decided to take a year out of conventional work to focus on creative projects so I have been working hard to create a bank of cheap and healthy recipes to keep us on track financially. I had definitely hit a brick wall until I stumbled across your thread. Thanks againMan is the only creature that consumes without producing.0 -
I knwo this is a really old thread but ive just stumbled across it and it is sooo helpful!! My 8 year old son has just decided he wants to become a 'vegetable' as he put it lol...He never has eaten meat really and ive never forced him too. But he has now decided he doesnt want to eat meat at all, we already have the vegitarian sausages as he loves these but for other meals i was really struggling...i have always loved my meat and do have it with every meal. So my son was just ending up having the potatoes/veg and i was feeling guilty lol. So im going to try most of your recipies for him, im planning on the 3 bean chilli for tomorrow so will elt you know how we get on
Many many thanks!0
