What do you think gave me PTSD?
Or clincal depression?
It wasnt anything fun and thats why it took years of help to bring me to where I am now.
What's happened to me isn't fun nor is what has happened to sh, ash & everyone else for that fact.
Your so up your own !!!! it's unreal.
You were fortunate to get the therapy etc that you need so now you are feeling better.
Unfortuantely alot of us are not that lucky so we are still depressed.
For someone that has had depression you are not very sympathetic towards others in the same predicament.I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

The therapy I had was NHS except for the counselling which I paid for at £25 a session. Purely because there was a waiting list to have it free. You all seem to get DLA, use it for some treatment. Surely that is what it is for, not to pay the rent shortfall because you want to live in a posh house.
Although I guess ash4becks won't want it. Her main aim in life appears to get a motability car, to which end she appears to be tailoring her symptoms.0 -

I wasn't talking about me normal therapy won't work on me but I will be paying for specialised therapy which is more expensive when I win my case.
I don't want to live in a posh house I want my son's to not seriously injure/kill each other so I need a 4 bedroomed house that I can't afford on LHA yawn.
I'm not prepared to move my kids across town to live on a council estate where you car get's set on fire & your neighbours are being raided by the police every day.
My kids deserve better than that & because I get DLA & i'm not selfish I pay for them to have that security yawn.
Sh & Ash will probably wait years for therapy as all the mental health services have been cut by the NHS over the last few years.I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

You said your house has 5 bedrooms. There is only you and 3 children, one of whom is at a residential school.
Get a smaller house and use the DLA for therapy.0 -

We used to live in a 4 bed house then I saw this one & for an extra £50 a month I get an extra bedroom, a double garage & a dining room.
My son goes to a residential school but still comes home weekends & holidays.
Where do you want him to sleep?
Doesn't he deserve his own room, somewhere to keep his belongings & some privacy when he comes home.
He is still part of our family & I feel bad enough for him that he has to go to residential school as he hates it.
I'm definitely not going to tell him he isn't allowed to have his own room because some one on MSE thinks I should use the money to pay for therapy.
He will be 16 in November so then I will get an extra £50 LHA a month which will make up the difference between this house & a 4 bed.
Is that ok with you?
While i'm asking for permission to spend my own money I'm thinking about taking the kids to Alton Towers in the holidays, is that ok with you too?I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

When my son turns 16 he will be entitled to his own room so I will get the 4 bed LHA rate instead of the 3 bed I get now.I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

I agree. I don't expect anyone to fully understand my depression or behaviour issues; but don't wnt people accusing me of lying and claiming I'm faking my depression.
KK - DLA doesn't cover everything. Yes, I could pay for therapy, but that would leve me with no money to pay for things like coloured paper (which I do need) or other one-off expensive items.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked
