You are trying to validate your PTSD and in doing so you are trying to minimise everyone elses claim, dosnt everyone take the easy A levels that require no intelligence or study? Please stop belittling other peoples' disabilities. It makes you look like one very sad individual.
Sorry Im not in your fan club but anyone in the last 20 years of education have has socialology as an easy GCSE/AS/A level.0 -

Sometimes there isn't a reason why.
My mum started suffering from depression after starting the menopause & a few years later she is still depressed.
She has tried HRT & anti depressants so what do you suggest a therapist will be able to do?
My depression is caused by anxiety when my life is stressfull.
I can't stop my life being stressful & despite taking various anti depressants over the last 12 years i'm still depressed.
If you have had several reocurrances of depression then you are higher at risk of it coming back, mine risk of reoccurance is judged to be 85%.
Until my life is calmer I will continue to suffer from anxiety which triggers the depression when it all gets too much for me.I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

As far as I'm aware, this is true for me. Yes, being called a lair and being told I can't have a disability because "they can't see it" by the people I used to live with at uni, didn't help. Understanderably sometimes just being ill can make people feel depressed.
If you have had health issue's to worry about for a few years it gradually get's you down.
I hope you manage to find some treatment that works for you as each person with depression is different.I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

My start with depression was caused by post natal depression, this then moved onto normal life depression caused by severe stress over the loss of our house (having my kidneys failing didn't help either).
My depression re-occured after every child but then we went for the big one and I had a complete breakdown dealing with the stress of 2 children having autism, over doing things by being up all night with the boys and then working whenever they would allow during the day on top of my normal evening shift and finally, the straw that broke the camels back - my middle son being excluded permanently from his school.
I was completely mentally and physically exhausted and my body basically waved the white flag and gave up.
So, for 15 years on and off, I took anti depressents, had a cpn, had counselling and was threatened with being sectioned for my own good several times but in the end, it was my own personal determination plus the coping mechanisms taught to me via the above means, which pulled me back to where I am now...it's not perfect and I am still prone to black moods but I am anti depressant free and getting used to the new kind of normal me, the old me has gone forever and will never return. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

I cant be bothered to look up stats on this and then link onwards to the stats of what a positive attitude to treatment can make to a positive result, you have two viewpoints and me a KK are the same number of viewpoints but we have been helped by treatment.
I am not cured of my clinical depression or PTSD but Im not in hell anymore.
I've tried saying this on other threads but sadly there is always a reason to just hide away. It doesn't matter what you suggest, there will always be an excuse.Only 3% of those registered blind in the UK have zero vision.0 -

Why didn't you move? Why live with people who obviously dislike you? But honestly if you used to whinge about your health and be so self obsessed like you are on here then it is not surprising that they had the attitude they did.0 -

And live where? And use what money? There would be no way that I could aford to pay £100 per week on where I was living and anything up to £120 elsewhere and eat.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked
