I'm worried about Sunil Dhown and IRD Homes. Do you think they have done something stupid? Their website is still Dhown, they must be losing business.

Yeah, I felt sorry for them too so I sent them an email via one of their listings on a property renting website to let them know that IRD Homes website was Dhown. I wonder if there will be a swift change of name for their company?

Answers on a postcard please......:D

O HAI Sunil Dhown. I just wanted to say, it was very clever of you to put a robot.txt file on your server. We wouldn't want more cached versions of your website coming to light with embarrassingly inconsistent claims regarding your experience in the business.

robot.txt is a file you can upload to a server to stop crawlers/spiders from making a copy of the website or including it in search listings.

Because the website is down, I can't see what the IRD Homes file includes but I presume they have prevented the Way Back Machine from crawling the site.

In theory, they could use it stop Google from updating their search listings but that would be a silly move.

I had a poke around the Bay City Livings site. They seem to have come from the same school of Letting Agents as good old Sunil Dhown. No deposits, meaningless hyperbole and a dubious set of testimonials (est. 2010 and one claims they have known the company for some time).
