I do not post much but I feel that I have to add my support to Niddy, I think it is so sad that people have to attack genuine helpful nice guys. What a sad place it would be if nobody cared enough to help others like most people try to do on here.
Please reconsider as your help will be sorely missed.

    Hi Guys,

I've never needed NID's help but he's a really nice guy who was very good at being his no1 fan!! (no that wasn't a typo!!)

There have been a couple of people (mainly found in The Arms) that have also left over the last few weeks. Apparently, this site isn't what it once was.

If NID decides to have a break and come back fighting then I'm sure he knows that we'll be there to welcome him back...but, the question I think we have to ask ourselves is why the rest of us weren't 'sticking up' for him as much as we should have been? Maybe if we'd all been part of a mob (the padding thread was once known as rent-a-mob as we'd all pile onto a thread to stick up for our own :D) then some of the pressure would have been taken off him?

NID put his all into helping people...maybe we we didn't show gratitude in the right way? Instead of just thanking him, maybe we should have fought his corner more?

I think that if it saves his sanity then he's better off not being here. There are people that have his email address and were friends with him on Facebook so it's not as though he's just vanished....he's just resting for a little while...I'm sure he'll be back with an AE and then maybe we can start acting like a team to rid this place of troublemakers...one man cannot do it alone!

OMG! I don't know what to say! NID helped me and countless others so much and it was/ is so much appreciated.

I hope he will just take a break and reconsider coming back to MSE - a truly good guy through and through for doing as much as he has

    Best wishes NID.

I know I'm in my own little world, but it's ok - they know me here! :D

Ahhhh this is such a shame. I only have recently got to know Niddy - but already he has been suportive.

Amazing what people do.... obv have very little going on in their own lives that they feel they have bully people on line - and these are people who would never have the guts to voice what they do on line in real life.

Niddy will be greatly missed, he strikes me as the sort of chap that really wants to help.

Lets just hope he takes sometime off and then when he sees how much he is missed he will pop back now and again.

I don't think there's enough moderators for the size of this forum. It's massive and there really ought to be someone online all of the time for it to run smoothly.

What would you like to do about it? I think we need a clear line of action on this.

  • How shocking! I had no idea all this was going on behind the scenes! I love reading Niddy's thread, I don't care if it's 'bumlicking', according to some pillock, but there aren't many people like Niddy about and he deserves a million thanks for all his hard work and effort. I shall really miss him, but can totally understand why he needed to leave, nobody should have to put up with that. I hope Niddy is having a well earned rest
I'm sure we can all muddle through this together, lets not let Niddy's hard work go to waste.

But the powers that be are totally anti moderation on the forum, apparantly it means Martin will be able to be sued.

I also doubt they'll put more money into paying for more admin staff.

So the only option is to have more board guides, but since their powers are limited and they can't deal with trolls then I'm kinda stumped.

I think they should def offer more support and gratitude to people like Niddy, but then I guess we'll just get loads of people getting jealous and wanting the same recognition without putting in the same level of work.

    Oh I don't know, it's all such a mess.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.
