What lovely posts. Hope your reading Niddy, even if you don't feel like posting up, we understand a good earn't rest is needed, although you will be missed and it will be very strange not to see your posts.....

So as I said on the other thread, we are all here for you, you have made millions of friends from this site, but only post when you feel ready too, we will always be here for you.

We will certainly miss your help of course.......:D, also your witty humour, so even if you just feel like a chat you know where we are.

Keep your chin up and we do hope that you will post up even if its only now and again to say hi.

    Take care.;)

Handy, the only problem i have with what you posted is that you woke your poor wife up. Glad Niddy was able to help you though.

Not only would he be a target for the banks and DCA's, but also those cleancut companies which for some reason are regulated by the ministry of justice. Just because Niddy tells people how to go through the unenforcability process for the cost of a few £1 postal orders and some stationery, why would they be upset at losing over £500 for each account that they don't get to deal with?

As others have said, one of the strongest parts of this forum are its members.
Why not make use of us?

If a member has over 10k posts, can they be deputised and be able to suspend posts and users so that someone more senior can take a look at them later without the board being weighed down with all those idiotic posts?

I think Niddy probably gave too much of himself to the site, but i wish he could stick around and see if the site can grow in the same way it's numbers have.

I'm right there with you Handy. This is our site and it looks like we need to fight for it to remain the place we want it to be. Some of the other boards on the forum have referred to us as the huggies board for being so 'soft' and welcoming, but alot of people here have been pushed right to the brink and know what it's like to have to scrap your way out. That kind of fight comes back when we think of how one of our number has been treated.

    Dangerous doesn't even come close.

George, sometimes I think it's the huggiest forums that suffer the most from trolls, just one nasty person can worm their way in and then do a lot of damage. Especially since huggy ones tend to have the most vulnerable people on them.

I agree with everything you said, but I think all the forums are getting worse. DFW might be the worst hit at the mo, but the others are going downhill too. There was a self confessed troll on DT, and it took a few days before he was PPR'd, despite him admitting and boasting about it.

I just worry that before long it'll be too late, and all they'll be able to do is shut the stable door when all the thoroughbreds have left.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

I can't believe Nids has been driven out ~ absolute disaster!

Come on mate, you're one of the good guys, don't let the b'stards get you down, we need you.
I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.

Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.

Hi George, My sentiments entirely Niddy must be a real thorn in the bums of the establishment. I like being "soft and Huggie".

But that doesn't mean we cant watch out for one of our own.

    Warmest regards, handy.

A bit of a write up on how to handle TROLLS........

Hope you don't mind me posting it here.;)

    http://www.!!!!!!!!!.com/space/usenet/

This page is a step by step guide to handling a Troll on Usenet, or any other discussion forum on the Internet. Or, more precisely, it is a step by step guide to beating a Troll at their own game.

There are too many Trolls that infest Newsgroups and discussion forums - this site gives you some ideas about how to stop their antics permanently.

Before we begin, though, understand this: the best way to deal with a Troll is to ignore them entirely. They are not worth your time, however you may feel about their comments.

However, this site recognises that sometimes you may be unwittingly drawn into a 'conversation' with them. This site will help you to deal with that situation.

"How To Handle A Troll" is updated on a semi-regular basis. You might like to visit this page again to learn new tactics against the Trolls. Similarly, you might like to let your friends know about the site. After you have finished reading, please link to this guide from your website.
Don't let anyone get destroyed by the Trolls.

More about this on the above link.

EDIT, just clicked on the link and its not working, that is odd!!!! Sorry.

Hi Pixie, by the time I got here this evening, computer probs, I only caught one of the links posted by our Niddy that showed what was going on. I believe that they have all been wiped now. What I saw I found appalling. Its now wonder that our mate decided to take a break (I hope that's all it is) in order to protect some of our more vulnerable mates from abuse.

    Regards, handy.

Thanks Handy for giving people a place to voice their feelings over Niddy being forced out by scum

No-one should doubt the amount of time and effort Niddy put into his UE thread - as GeorgeUK has said, he probably put too much of himself in to it

By the same token, no-one should doubt the amount of abuse Niddy received not only on the forum, but in many PM's too. A person can only take so much

The problem was compounded today by the apparent slow action of the moderators in removing the offending posts despite being inundated with reports of this abuse

Niddy bonnie lad, take time out and rest, come back and lurk to see how we miss you and I do hope that circumstances change and you can find your way back on here as so many people wish you well and want you back

Handy - I want to be in your gang - sign me up
