A bit of a write up on how to handle TROLLS........

Hope you don't mind me posting it here.;)

    http://www.!!!!!!!!!.com/space/usenet/

This page is a step by step guide to handling a Troll on Usenet, or any other discussion forum on the Internet. Or, more precisely, it is a step by step guide to beating a Troll at their own game.

There are too many Trolls that infest Newsgroups and discussion forums - this site gives you some ideas about how to stop their antics permanently:

Before we begin, though, understand this: the best way to deal with a Troll is to ignore them entirely. They are not worth your time, however you may feel about their comments.

However, this site recognises that sometimes you may be unwittingly drawn into a 'conversation' with them. This site will help you to deal with that situation.

"How To Handle A Troll" is updated on a semi-regular basis. You might like to visit this page again to learn new tactics against the Trolls. Similarly, you might like to let your friends know about the site. After you have finished reading, please link to this guide from your website.
Don't let anyone get destroyed by the Trolls.

More about this on the above link.

EDIT, just clicked on the link and its not working, that is odd!!!! Sorry.
Thanks Di, lets keep this in the public eye for a while. :T

As someone else said it's pathetic that he (the troll) has to register as other people. That's disgusting and just shows how immature he is.

And that he has to come on as someone better than him....stupid person.

    Hi Handy

Count me in too.........I have a lot to be thankful for because of Niddy. He has been of more help to me than any Bank or Credit Company were over the last 3 years when we were in real trouble. My life is beginning to change because of Niddy, and I would hope that we can all fight these stupid people together.

I may be a middle aged woman, but I'm a tough old bird, its my Yorkshire grit.

If you are reading this Niddy, take care and perhaps in the future you may be able to re think and come back.

I would like to offer help too and like everyone else, publicly acknowledge Mr Nid for the invaluable help he has offered to my friends. He is our dear friend, i actually hope he is completely chilled. George you are right, he will not be worried about trolls he can and will take care of himself.

We have to do this for MSE and all the users of the DFthreads. How would we have felt if Ann, Niddy, Nargle had not been there for us and offered us help and advice when people first posted? Protection and support must be offered for the people who have been kind enough to give up their time, knowledge and energy to help all the members. No one should have to hit their head against a brick wall. A person can only do that for so long. I am awaiting Martin's reply to this point and as soon as i hear anything i shall post it on here.

If i can do anything please let me know. I will be honoured to help in anyway.

then niddy has the power to suspend accounts as he probally spends more time on here than most board guides anyway
