I'm pretty new to this, never gone before. I am really intrested in participating this year but dont have priority code so will have to get in line. Can anyone recommend places to go in the uk, there will be me and my partner and our 18 month old - looking for begining of september. Were from the east mids, really wud of like carnwall but its quite far ot go for a 4 night stay isnt it?

Any ideas welcome, love skegness but fancy something different

Hiya, we have travelled from the West Mids to both Cornwall and Devon for a 4 day break via the Sun. It is doable and apart from our 1st year with all the floods it hasn't taken too long to get there.

Sent email to The Sun stating that thesun.co.uk/holidays hasn't been updated and asking for dates, this is their reply:

    Dear Sun Reader,

Thank you for taking the time to email us. The next promotion is usually run this month. We have no information of dates and when the tokens will be in the paper. Please watch the paper for details.

    Kind regards

Seems Martin knows more than them!!! :rotfl:

Edit: Seems since I sent the email the page has now been updated, strange that!! But not the top bit, still saying May, June, July and August.
This site rocks and has saved me loads -
thanks to all those that post on the forums and have saved me money
    ;)

When I spoke to the Sun holidays people earlier today to see where my form was they said it does start on 10th. Guess they are just slow at getting the word out! :D

Unfortunately I cant do these due to having to go in half term so was just wondering does anyone know anywhere that does similar deals to this but in half term time?

    Oct half term is included

or did you mean summer holidays ?
  • not received a priority booking form this time either - that's the past 3 we've not had one even though we've been going once or twice a year for over 10 years.

If anyone has a spare priority code going I would be very grateful. thanks.

I've been experiencing the same problems, been going away on these holidays for years with friends of mine, met my partner on one 8 years ago, daughter conceived on one and now for some reason never seem to get priority codes. Only found out by chance advert on TV tonight that the holidays are starting again so obviously I'm not getting a code this time around - yet again, very disappointing.

I can't find a list to join for any spare Priority Codes but if there is one could I please be added to it in the remote chance that someone could please pass their unused code to me.

    Extremely grateful in advance.

so, does that mean that anyone can just do this? i mean book it online and not save the tokens? We have never done a £9.50 deal before so do u know if we have to save the tokens or can we also just use online codes and book online? don't they ask u to send in the saved tokens? many thanks :j

You can only book online if you've got a priority code. That's what gives you the advantage - you can see straight away where you've been allocated and what date. Others have to save the tokens, put in several dates and places and keep their fingers crossed that they get their first choices.

I've done both. The postal route is a bit of a lottery on what you will get but as long as you are flexible, it's fine. And you have to go with an open mind - yes, the accommodation can be a bit crap but, lets face it, you are only paying £9.50 each, for goodness sake. What do you expect for that???? We've learnt to just use the accommodation as a base, forget about the crap entertainments, take our own bedding and look outside the camp for things to do. Expect nothing and you will be pleasantly surprised. Expect the Ritz and you will be VERY disappointed!:rotfl:

and if the standard of the accom is *that* bad eg dirty, smoky etc then COMPLAIN ! whilst you are there, too last once you get back!

always check reviews before booking www.tripadvisor.com
and check to see how much it would be to book direct,as often if you are wanting term time dates, then booking with the SUN can work out more expensive

so do your homework before booking!

we can only go during school holidays,so for us they are perfect,we save loads :)

We must have been very lucky as even if some of the accom has been a bit old / dated ( chalet ) it's always been clean and tidy

The European ones are a definite bargain! we have saved so much by booking with the SUN, for our French holidays
and then using Tesco deals for the Eurotunnel, leaves more for spends etc :D
  • Hi, if anyone has a spare priority code they not using please PM me. Im willing to pay via paypal.

    Thanks

  • Has anyone received their priority code by e-mail?
