The Sun £9.50 Holidays

we are thinking of doing the 9.50 sun hoildays my ex daughter in law told me i would still have to pay for 4 people when in fact there's only me and o/h going is that right? from what i am reading on here it would be about £38 (confused ) there's only us two so not to fussed on dates. went to brean sands and for anyone to say it's full of chaffs is beyond me, loads of kiddies and i saw no signs of people leaving kiddies to fend for themselfs whilst getting drunk in fact the opposite. ok so apartment/ chalets were dated but it was one of the best holidays i have had for the £10 deal that was posted thanks to the op.

yes its based on 4 people,so even if only 1/2/3 of you it's still £38 ( £9.50 x 4 ) then any service charges etc on top

I booked one last time around for 3 of us and had to pay for 4 but haven when they charged me for 4 entertainment passes after got confirmation after paid i got one entertainment pass refunded after i queried it

So another in the queue for a priority code (please!)

Is Camber really awful? In what way? I just wanted to use it as a base for exploring Rye and Hastings really, though if Coombe Haven is included in the deal I will put that as my first choice.

depends,school holidays are always booked up really quickly

but if you wanted term time date,you would have better luck

if you had a priority code you could see where / if anything available for the date,straight away,as can book online

We have been to Camber and Combe Haven and no, they weren't really awful. All sun holidays have their pro's and con's and you usually get a weekend away pretty cheaply. Sometimes the accomodation is fab and sometimes its dated and damaged. On the whole its worth the money. I think its sad that a lot of people are labelled 'chavs' when they may be nothing of the sort. They may be on a lower income or may be a different class, but they have the same ideals and principles as the next person. I've seen 'posh' looking people and 'chavvy' looking people on sun hols and their kids will play together just like anyone elses kids, so just get down there with an open mind and see what happens. Check your invoice when you get it, pay your extra charges usually entertainment passes and utility costs per night and take off linen costs and take your own. If you don't like the camp then you can go out for the day and use it just to sleep at.

I once tried to put FEWER than the required resorts, but online, try as I did, it would NOT accept any less than (five, this time !) resorts, plus it wont accept any less than 5 different dates.

You have to have great patience and ' juggle about' with the dates and resorts, until you get a combination of what is acceptable to you, personally.

So..if you only have ONE resort and ONE date in mind, and put that first, you still have to choose 4 more resorts and dates..Its quite mind-bending..You dont commit yourself till you've submitted and accepted the details, but the process, as I say, is really frustrating !

ps...and did you know that you can try for a 'prolonged' holiday by using the same code you've been given, twice, ( and obviously at different times, of course ? ) We tried it and succeeded, so we managed a week at the same site ( Newquay in West Wales- lovely ) and we stayed in the same caravan throughout ( also very nice )
