Why have you taken off my previous message, moneysavingexpert ? Is it because I was telling the total truth ?
OK your decision...
Now.. does anyone know whether it is a good idea to go to Stanwix Park in Silloth, Please / ? I know the park is good, etc etc because I have just been reading the reviews.. but we always go to places with a view to what is in and around the area..
Is it worth going to this area does anyone know please ?
many thanks !
ps ! sorry.. you didn't take message off! apologies !
hope you will print this Ms Moderator..! oh, go on!
We went to the other one in Silloth at Easter (Solway Holiday Village) we had a 60's style lodge instead of a caravan but it was great as it was huge and had 2 bedrooms and a good size kitchen. The site was good as well, plenty for the kids to do, theres even a wee train and a small farm.
There was 3 bars but the main one was very family friendly. The prices for food and drink were reasonable.
We used it as a base to go to Carlisle, Keswick (Pencil Museum) and Blackpool.
The area is beautiful and would go back there again.
We thought the Solway looked better than Stanwix park.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
I got an email this morning from Parkdean saying my balance of £45 was due in 7 days.
Im sure when I booked the Solway I got a letter with a breakdown of all the charges before having to pay. That way we could leave of the entertainment passes and linen charges if we wanted.
This mail only has the total, no breakdown.
This is my first Parkdean one, do you normally get a letter too?:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
The £38 for the sun holiday was taken out of my account over a week ago and Ive still heard nothing - will the sun contact me to let me know which park I got out of my selection or will he park contact me directly?Everything Happens for a Reason....0

We went to Picardy 2nd week in July - £180 for 4 of us plus some surcharges
French campsites are good and was in a good location
Was in a keycamp caravan - 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms
We get the priority booking because we had (the misfortune) to have used the holidays before to go to a HAVEN park - never again but will do the weeks caravan in the summer again next year0
