Thanks for that, its so much better to sweep a problem under the carpet than show it the light dont you think!
You missed the point completely, with my blog I hope to give people the chance to air their concerns and perhaps get valuable advice or perhaps even not feel so alone. Unemployment especially Long Term unemployment can be very isolating. People suffer severe depression because WRONGLY and I cant say this loud enough, they THINK THEIR SELF WORTH, PERSONAL VALUE IS ALL ABOUT HAVING A JOB! Its !!!!!!!!.
I just want to provide support a chance to have a voice against the hoards of frankly stupid people who say there are plenty of jobs out there as if one cloth fits all!! Some people need help to get into work, once they are in work and benefit from mentoring and support which they may never have had in their lives and wouldnt it be aweful all you nay sayers in this discussion if instead of kicking people when they are down we actually looked to help them!
There are of course some kind and insiteful posters in this discussion, but Im apauled at some of the prejudice and lack of intelligence.
And wouldnt it be aweful jamespir if for example Vodaphone whom you probably respect were made to pay this years tax bill of 8 Billion (not the 1 Billion HRMC settled for!, let alone last years bill) Imagine all that money not just from Vodaphone but from all those global companies that dont pay their tax bills and some of that money going into training, mentoring improving services for us all! But no lets respect the real rapists of this country and then look at unemployed as lazy useless people..now that makes sense.
Why is lazy thinking so attractive?
why do you think i respect vodaphone ?Replies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. If your reply cannot be nice, has an underlying issue, or you believe that you are God, please post in another forum. Thank you0 -
Uk unemployment isn't enraging me - UK employment is!
At my ripe old age I should be looking forward to retirement in 12.5 months but no - the government say I have to work for 3.5 more years before I can retire!
What is wrong with this lot! I don't qualify for a full pension and the amount I will get is much less than all the benefits low wage earners get. Working tax, child tax, housing etc.
I am not a high earner by any means but my job could help someone get out of the benefit trap and save the government a fortune but instead they prefer to keep my piddly 79 quid a week and pay out to younger people who need jobs more than I do.
I know this is a moan on my behalf but for the life of me I cannot see the reasoning behind it. All it is doing is keeping us oldies in work longer (if I retire at 60 we would be short for our lifestyle) therefore reducing the number of jobs available for the younger ones.
Let me retire and give my job to someone younger!!!
*sigh* rant over but maybe someone somewhere just might think about it a bit more and see that it does make sense.Mags - who loves shopping0 -
I have 20 years experience in accounts and cant even get an interview at minimum wage paying over 100% less than what I was earning so I do not see how any company would give me an interview cleaning!
Sorry, I just read this although I understand your jist I felt compelled to point out your mathematical description is found to be somewhat 'wanting'. 100% less of your current pay would be zero, over 100% would be you paying them!? Worked in accounts...0 -

Well they have jobs dont they the CEOS and Directors, Execs and probably share holders of Vodaphone and you put great store by a person having a job even if they are shafting the economy and you in the process....its FAR easier to look down on the unemployed than those who do real lasting damage. And yes I know they provide thousands of jobs but is that any excuse not to pay a tax a bill of 7 Billion! And thats just this years bill I believe last years was nearer 20 and I dont even want to know what portion of that they didnt need to hand over. It isnt just Vodaphone though is it, take any of those large global companies with bases in Britain.
Having a job of any kind shouldn't mean you demand respect over and above someone whose unemployed thats my point. So yes looking at your posts Id say if a director of Vodaphone in an Armani suit driving a Ferrari came to meet you...yes Id expect you would respect him, even when he's the reason you pay a higher rate of tax.0 -

What a thoroughly arrogant, nasty piece of work you are. Despite your worthless qualifications, your mastery of written English is unbelievably poor :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. Back under your stone.
It IS tough out there. Try googling "Polish Employment Agencies". No shortage of jobs and all kinds of additional assistance denied to the indigenous jobseeker.
Spot on.
I would not waste any more effort in responding to people who have no idea what it is like to be out of work in the currrent climate.
RossDave10 suggests that everyone who is unemployed can just apply to their nearest supermarket for a job on the premise that 'everyone needs food'. Indeed they do - but there are more unemployed people than supermarket vacancies.
Using that analogy, everyone should now apply for a job to their local water authority because everyone needs water!:rotfl:
I think that just shows how ignorant some people are of the current employment situation and you will find it is those people who preach from the moral high ground while in the comfort zone of employment.0 -

The unemployment isn't enraging me, it's being treated like dirt that does.0
