Morning all - just!
Not posted for ages, but been reading, dont seem to have time to post, fly and live life.....!
Anyway, so far today:-
one load of washing done and on line
dogs walked and fed
kitchen cupboards and drawers are cleaned out and tidied
I'm now off to paint door and radiator in spare bedroom - they are a nasty combination of deep blue and pink, 2 coats already not covering fully, so off to do third!!
After that it'll be time to do a general tidy round, and depending on the time, carry on with painting the sitting room - my niece visited and di the ceiling for me - fab girl - and I started on the walls last weekend - chocolate brown paint to cover up - every room in this house seems to need 4 coats!!! (2 -3 if using Dulux once!)
Hugs to all who need them, Fred keeping me going just now, as I seem to have hit a bit of a brick wall after the move and finding it hard to get myself going and to finish all the jobs that need doing inside. Anyway, I'll keep at it, bit by bit, and eventiually all the rooms will be done I hope... maybe by xmas.....!

do HW with DS2
do laundry
sort out activity week stuff
do work stuff due tomorrow
[STRIKE]DW[/STRIKE] also wiped top of TD and cleaned trays, put recycling out
empty bins
sort meals - breakfast done
put some laundry away that's been in the LR for ages - done towels
Fedup - sending you 'no further upsets' vibes. That really is enough for one day.
Craftyscholar - thanks. I agree. Don't want to go into detail, but he really could do with talking to someone. Not that he ever would! When we got together his Mum said that she had thought he'd never settle down. I think she new him well and maybe he shouldn't have - and I don't mean that in a nasty way.0 -
Last load of washing is now in the WM so that's all the washing done. I've got that load and the last load yet to iron but I may wait until this one's finished and dry. Dishes are now washed ready for the dinner ones.
DH has taken the kids to Forest Park while I get on. I asked what we were doing today and he said I'll take the kids to Forest Park - I assume that meant so you can carry on doing all the jobs that need doing. Probably thinks that means he can sit and watch the GP in peace this afternoon. He did say he'd call at Mr As on the way back though to pick some bits up - trouble is we normally end up with a load of biscuits and stuff when he goes.
Right I'd better carry on HHC 12.15 - 12.45 anyone?NST #10 Steps 7K 2/30 10K 2/12 5 a day 3/30 NSD 0/20

Lunch first though and then the rabbits need cleaning and moving, so if he's not brought them by then i will send Ds1 to get them.0 -
Re the school holiday issue, she's in year 8 and has 99% attendance...thing is, I'm aware that some ethnically diverse families who attend the same school take their daughters out for prolonged periods, year in year out....as these same girls still attend the school then I can only presume that the threat to remove their school placement isn't followed through....anyways no matter we're going.:D
I would not dream of taking her out of school over the following years as it's exam time, it's just this occasion.
Recipe for Pulled Pork....
One pork joint.
I cut the fat from it and roasted it seperately to make my own personal humongous pork scratching...:rotfl:
Mix together
2 teaspoons, generously dolloped of garlic, ginger, chilli flakes, a glug of olive oil or any oil and a glug of vinegar.
Mix thoroughly then pour over pork, spread and keep turning the joint until it's covered.
I tend to rub it in with my hands.
Then bung in slow cooker for 5/6 hours...I did 4 hours on high then lowered it to low for the reamining 2 hours.
As I was going to a barbeque I put joint into a large tray and pulled it apart...ala pulled pork...then I sprinkled some more vinegar over it, put foil over it and took it with me.
The chilli flakes don't really seem to add heat but do seem to add flavour, the vinegar also does some tenderising. I use cider vinegar.
I didn't use any salt.
