Evening all,
Thank LadyL for letting everyone know about my router - I've managed to get online at my M&D's as we're here for a BBQ after Moon has finished cutting down and disposing of their eucalyptus tree. There was no way I was going to manage the whole 5 days without the internet, so had to get online, if only to catch up with Valli's romantic antics. BTW Valli your story about the radioactive snake reminds me of an Ann Summer's party I went to where they had a flashing blue "toy" that we all had a good laugh about.
Have been keeping covered up since Sunday so that I don't get any further sun damage - believe it or not, I burnt even with suncream on (probably because I sweated the suncream off and didn't have any to reapply, as we were out for 6 hours). I'm still red and sore across my shoulders, particularly when I'm in bed, as the pillow rubs on them.
We got Moon's suit for the wedding today in the sale (a David Hechter one for £119 reduced from over £200), so I'm pleased about that - just need to find him a nice short-sleeved shirt to go under it now, as the only ones they had there were still expensive even in the sale. He also paid off most of his share of the honeymoon, so he's actually paid off more than me now! Still, I need to pace myself with payments as I won't be being paid for the summer holidays as I'm only supply teaching now, and I guess I'll have to pay for the rest of my dress when it comes in in October/November too (not sure at what point you pay for the second half).
I'm afraid flying had taken a backseat this weekend, although I did do the food shop and the meal plan for this week. Also took the bridesmaid's dress for her to try on, and as expected, the alterations haven't made an iota of difference, apart from the fact that they've now sewn on the button at the top so tightly, that you can no longer get the loop over it, making it effectively useless! Have brought it round for my Mum to have a look at, so hopefully she'll be able to repair the botched job that the so-called professionals have done.
Well I'm off to check my emails now - probably won't be online again now until the new router comes through, so for anyone celebrating this week, Happy Birthday or Congratulations, and for those who need or want a hug, sending virtual ones now.
Take care everyone,

but I'll probably stock up on white polo-shirts (Trutex are best, but not cheap) and t-shirts.
I get the ASDA 2 for £2,50 for DS3, they are great, washed at 60 every week (he has 5 or 6) They shrink on the first wash or two but if you allow for that they are great.big fat hairy bottoms.
I have broken my food processor bowl
I burnt my little finger making blackcurrant jam
Burnt my thumb on spitting roast chicken fat
and broken my little toe kicking the dyson by accident
On the positive side we have two jars of lovely jam and the kitchen was spotless.
Of no is it the magimix bowl? Jam is very hot (you know that you have the gadget). Hope your toe is not too sore. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

the FP is a kenwood, c£15 for a replacement bowl so it could be far worse, c£100 for a full new machine. Just annoying mostly. I used it daily so necessary spend.
