He is missing 'enrichment week' (trips to theme parks, sporting things which we pay for) so absolutely no learning. Our school have a policy of always saying no but like you there are pupils who go to visit relatives for 4-6 weeks at a time.
We're taking DS out for the final day of term. Bearing in mind that by the start of that week they'll be watching videos, playing games and on a trip to Alton Towers, I have no guilt about this. He has 100% attendance for this year. However, as he's in Y10, a request will be denied, so DH and I have secided that he'll be sick - he's looking peaky already :rotfl:Jojo_the_Tightfisted wrote: »Parrot costume for end of term play
Pictures please
I have broken my food processor bowl
I burnt my little finger making blackcurrant jam
Burnt my thumb on spitting roast chicken fat
and broken my little toe kicking the dyson by accident
Ouch! Please take it easy until you heal. I knwo it's difficult though - I stubbed my second toe 2 weeks ago - it went every shade of purple, and is still slightly swolen and a bit itchy
The open gardens were lovely. We expected it to take about 2 hours, but with all the chatting with friends, aquaintances and gardeners, and the delicious tea and cake, it was nearly 5 hours

Hi all,
Hugs to Hex, you poor thing, ouch!
Well i've had an entertaining afternoon. OH took the boys for a walk so i could mow the lawns. The handle on the mower wouldn't stay up properly and it only turned off when it wanted to. I moved the pots of veg and started mowing and a massive toad jumped out at me. :eek:I was worried i'd hurt it so i got Ds2's little bucket and tried to catch it and move it to the pond. My god that thing can jump, as i bent down it jumped over me and i screamed.:o I thought i'd leave that bit until last. I'd almost finished mowing when the mower started making a funny noise and black smoke came out of it. It could have waited 5 more minutes, i've now got a tufty bit.
I've had a shower, put tea in the oven and am having a coffee. OH and the boys aren't back yet so i'm making the most of the peace.:D I did think about making a start on the ironing but it didn't last long.;)
Anyway, since my last post i have
Put dry dishes away
Washed up
S & S Kitchen
Brought dry washing in
Put another load out
Watered outdoor plants
Cleaned out rabbits
Tidied garden
Mowed almost all the lawns
Put tea on0 -

Hi Ladies, I've done nothing at home today....mostly because I haven't been there! I'm at my mum's and have been here since finishing my short shift at work this morning. We've had a nice 3 mile walk and painted my horses' stable. It looks lovely and much tidier....I'm sure they'll appreciate it!0

Hello! Another gorgeous day here today but a bit too hot at times. Two loads of washing washed and dried, Mr. S shop done, Grand Prix watched, more paperwork done, bathroom cleaned, new pillows and pillow protectors bought, washing up done and new batteries put in doorbell.
Triker - have a lovely time
L-L - good to hear from you
Need dinner now before the footie kicks off - can't believe it's the final already! Only 20 days til the next match at Fratton Park though so I may survive :rotfl:
