"I was simply addressing the sweeping statement you made about babies at 21 weeks not needing extreme medical intervention"

I do not think this is the place to get into the proand anti- abortion debate, suffice it to say that within its own environment the 'ball of cells' is as viable as any other organism. Even full grown humans cannot survive if they are not in their correct enviroment, e.g. you would drown if you stayed underwater for too long with no breathing apparatus.
Enough said, although if anyone wants a discussion on abortion, i am happy to join them in Discussion Time.
As regards the OP, I thi k it is admirable that he wishes to stay with his girlfriend and be a father to their child, even if at the moment they need some help.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -

To be fair though, he isn't losing out by doing so. He isn't working or giving anything up to support the child and is looking to move into his own 2/3 bed house paid for by benefits with a household income also provided. One could argue that he's going to be in a pretty good position compared to his friends who will all be living with their parents and having to work for their spending money.0 -
I think some people don't know what is available regarding childcare etc and assume they will have to give up college.
It's not easy juggling a young baby and a college course, but it has been done before and there is help available.
can help pay for your childcare costs if you are under 20.
Sorry this is a bit off topic OP, but thought it might be useful.
Thanks, i dont mind the off topic posts as long as they're useful advice rather that unwanted, offensive opinions, its nice to see that some people will offer help and advice rather than give there offensive opinion from behind a computer screen, makes me laugh because none of these people would walk up to a young pregnant girl in the street ad say "its only a ball of cells, terminate" because it would be rude, offensive and would probably result in getting a slap, but they are safe and sound sitting at home with nothing else to do but try to make other people as misserable as them, i actually think they are the ones who need more help than me, i feel sorry for them.0 -

I think the gf did the new (ish) 14-18 diploma that you do alongside GCSES, mainly for people who want a vocational education. There are 3 levels 'foundation', 'higher' and 'advanced'. OP I take it your gf did 'higher', did she do it over 2 years then? Think it's usually 2 years or less if over 16.0 -

You really need to think about things before you post these daft replies, i have said a number of times that i plan on WORKING and a joiner once i am qualified, honestly you really must be bitter about something, but please dont take it out on me, your making out that we planned the pregnancy to take advantage of benefits, but i dont need to justify myself to you.0 -

If someone asked what their options were then yes, I absolutely would suggest they consider a termination.0
