Oh must have gotten it mixed up, health and beauty/health and social care.

I can see you know her really, really well.

So, what has she been doing at college and why isn't she continuing with her studies?

Why on earth you are even bothering to justify yourself to these decrepid, haggered, old curtain twitchers is beyond me.

You've had lots of good advice from many people on here, but it's unsurprising to see the usual hecklers creaking their way out of their coffins to give you their own version of "benefits advice".

But I have to say CarlBrown, the maturity of your responses, is certainly showing them up for the poisonous old gits they are. Wish I had your grace. Actually...nah, I prefer to say it as it is.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    :rotfl::rotfl:

No, I'm not a charmer, excellent observation. Write that one down in your notebook. Why on earth would I want to charm poisonous old curtain twitchers anyway?

Besides, hardly think you can talk. Not me making out that a 17 year old lad is a benefit scrounger, and his GF a slapper who lied about taking the pill, now am I.

Tut tut, I guess double standards is OK as long as it comes with a "please" and "thank you".

Why do u feel the need to know every detail about me and my girlfriends life? are you really that sad that you have to find ways to make everybody as miserable as you purely because you have a boring life?

    What's poisonous about my responses?

I clearly and calmly stated that we would rather have a termination than bring a child into this world when we could not afford to raise it.

We would rather be able to give our child the best upbringing we possibly could, rather than rely on government handouts that could be cut at any time.

It's very difficult to advise someone without full information and your GF's work prospects will be very different with an NVQ in Care as opposed to one in Beauty Therapy.

Just because she's pregnant is no reason for her to give up on her education at this time so why assume that she isn't going back to college? If you had her best interests at heart you would want her to get good qualifications whilst she's young so that your child has the advantages this can bring and you will have a genuine partner to share the financial respponsibilities of family life..

Why do i get the feeling this thread has gone a little off topic?
I was originally asking to see if anybody knew if we could rent her dads house whilst claiming housing benefit, but then people automatically assumed that i am a benefit scrounger who wants to make her dad a profit.

I only wanted to know because it would be an advantage to both me, her, her dad and the local council because we would know our landlord, he would have somebody renting his house and the council wouldnt need to bother finding us unsuitable housing.

He is going to rent his house out anyway and we are going to be private renting somewhere, so why not rent off him? the only thing is the whole "contrived tenancy" thing.

I can understand why people would think that it was all set up just to fraud the system but its not, i was just genuinely curious to know, but its good to know that some people automatically assume every young parent is out to be a scrounger and fraud.
