Well, I am so smelly that I am even becoming offensive to myself......so shortly I will have to take the chance and dive in for the quickest shower on earth!
Ah- the old -in, out, shake it all about! shower?:rotfl:Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
That's it, with "escape route" planned if the door bell goes - towel to hand, dressing gown so close that it is probably getting wet as well, and a well prepared apology for the scare that the poor chap will get as I open the doorSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. He will definitely arrive just as you've got nicely wet and have put shampoo in...leaving you to hop out the shower soap dripping in your eyes lol
Well done on your run this morning...remember 10% weight loss = 10% quickerHappy days!

DD got up, so she was on doorbell duty while I finally got showered, so all is well!
Sal I did 4 miles in 36:59....so 9.15 min miles which is much better than I used to be. Hopefully I can build on that and finally get my times down! I so want to do that bloomin marathon in under 5 hours :rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. Me too Hypno...Im running regularly 9:18 pace...did 8 miles at that pace yesterday but I need to be able to do longer than that. Imagine if I could get to 26 miles at that pace I would be thrilled! You applied for LM again this year didn't you? I really hope I get a place....or I might have to sign up to another marathon maybeI'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. Yes, I have applied for LM again.....but I have also pre-registered for Edinburgh at the end of May. I think I get the chance to enter that (first come first served) sometime in August.
The idea being, that I will def do Edinburgh, but that if I get into London I will decide either (if I am feeling very strong) to do both, or to defer London until 2012 and have the motivation for the next couple of years to keep me running!
According to the runners world calculator, based on my time today I should get a time for the full distance of 4:31. If only :rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Wow imagine a 4:30 marathon
I think I could probably do under 5 hours now....but would like to be 4:30 realistically. Ive got a good trainer which helpsApparently Dublin Marathon is a good one to do...I might sign up for that (complete fool I am)

Ooh, I've just looked at that and could quite fancy doing that one next year - so do a spring one (eg London or Edinburgh) and then Dublin in October. Def a possibility. I really really want to be under 5 hours, but can't realistically see me getting to 4:30. I am really enjoying my running at the moment, though, so who knows? Ladies, a lot of Dublin in on the flat and because the river flows thru it, it is quite a 'cool' city!
Not that I have ran the marathon, but have had some epic shopping marathons there!LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.

There is no point in negative thought, it takes up time and energy which could be used in a positive, happy way!

The dates etc for 2011 would fit in nicely for me (no holiday from work available for me to even consider doing the 2010 race as it is on a Monday not a weekend).
So I was talking to DD this morning about planning some "stuff" for me to do when I am 40. I can't afford to do anything like a big holiday or whatever for my actual 40th birthday in November, but quite fancy having a few things to aim for/look foward to while I am 40.
So far, therefore on the list is:- Become debt free
- Run either London or Edinburgh Marathon (April/May)
- Go to Latitude (July)
- Run Dublin Marathon (October)
- Get to the bottom of my ironing pile (perhaps not so realistic)
