Gotcha, thanks. I'm all for less stress, me - two or three people have commented to me "of course you got sick the way you've been working so hard" ..... I must, I was going to say, I must work harder at this. Work clever, KC, not hard!

Good evening. Interestingly today has been a day of reflection for me - partly because of Mr. Big's challenge. And what I want to give up is self-doubt. I think that if I manage this one it will really take me to a completely different level - have been having a big problem making it measurable and tangible.

    Help!

Hope you have had a happy birthday firewalker!

I could think of lots of things I wanted to "stop" but how to measure them was my stumbling block. I think that stopping self doubt is great, and perhaps a starting point would be to write down all those times when you do doubt yourself, then pick one or two of them that are more measurable to change round your attitude or behaviour, before moving to the next one on the list that may be less tangible, if you see what I mean?

So perhaps pick a situation where you know you lack confidence, or in one area of your life, (so for me it was wearing makeup), and work out how you can address it (for me it was having someone at a department store show me how I should do it, but not someone who was caked in make up themselves, but who had the "natural" look I wanted to achieve myself), and then incorporating it into your day.

    Etc!

This reminded me of a DVD my DH has of French film maker, Michel Gondry. He talked about a time when he decided that everything he did "would be a Picasso" because he had dismissed so many ideas as no good - before he'd given them chance to develop. His father was a brilliant pianist, but couldn't see it and was never happy with his work. Gondry decided that he wouldn't let the same kind of negative thinking disable his career.

As a creative person, this really resonated with me, so now I try not to let self-doubt in, as it just blocks my creativity.

Good luck with your mission, I'm sure you'll get there :)

Bad news alert - LW scratches have a clause in from this morning - you have to wager to play - it will tell you when you click on the free card - I was £70p away from £10 payout . Going to try and wager with the money in the pot but I guess the good times are over :o

And with alarming regularity, she starts yet another chapter of her diary.........:)

I hope you will stick around for the next chapter :)

Thank you for sharing this. It's inspirational to see what you've achieved, at the moment I can't see a way forward out of debt - but clearly there is a way even if it's not in front of my face just now.

    Good morning all,

Sounds like some good ideas on here last night.

Hypno I know you've got more slack in the spending budget, but have you thought of the other side. e.g. You have decided it's worth spending cash to pay the cleaner to save time, but what about aspects of your moneymaking that aren't time effective. e.g. I wondered about the scratchies which you do nearly everyday are still a good use of your time. I know sometimes they're quick, but when the sites play up it takes ages. There is the old saying 'time is money', so if there's a better use of your time, why not use it.

I know there's a lot of about spending budgets and diaries here, but what about time/activity checks too. What do we waste our time on, how can we use it more efficiently? I don't mean 'work' all the time, scheduling in relaxation and fun is important too and we need to make time for that :)

For me deciding to act on impulse and stop saying 'I'll think about it' is helping overcome self-confidence issues and expanding the envelope, I'd been meaning to book a makeup makeover but kept putting it off, then saw a sign outside Bodyshop about a free makeover promotion and just walked in :)

I've got no scratchies left now :(. Nothing in T & C, but it reads as if you have to wager 5 cash out of 7, so I guess that means 5 ays out of 7. Gutted as so close to payout.

Ah well, maybe back to clicks or BP for Amazon vouchers :money:

I think you are right, I did do the scratchies and the bingo, but now the hassle is not worth the gain.

I've played games and won and lost a bit, still wouldnt let me play so I've deposited £10, spent £1 and then withdrawn £16 something to leave 1p, it says it has processed but I'll let you know if I get it back in case anyone else wants to try and get the free money out.
