Some questions re Shred

I don't think I can cope with level 2, should I stay down a class until I can do it more easily?
The star jumps - my arms aren't straight?, sometimes my legs and arms are working differently (eg legs out and arms in ) is that OK?
Push ups - I'm nearly at the "easier" version
(a press up is on my 101 list :rotfl:)
I'm still almost dead at the end - shouldn't it get easier?????
sorry, it's your fault I have these problems, I now regard you as an expert :rotfl:0 -
Good Morning!! Bet you all thought I would seccumb and log on for a sneaky peak at 6am. WRONG!
sharonej, welcome aboard! YES, there is a way through this - stick around, and join in, and you will get there!
re scratches - we shall see if the payout I requested yesterday reaches me, and I shall not expect any more. It was always one of those things that was good while it lasted - se, perhaps you were speaking to the universe about it not being a reasonable use of time and it has listened to you!
OO, either stick with level one until you are finding it less of a challenge, or move up to level 2 but just do the bits you can do, try the bits that are too hard, and eventually you will find that you are doing more than you thought, which is the way I did it. don't worry about co-ordination, it will come!
So.....got up at 6 as normal, and went to work at 7. Didn't switch the TV on, and had the radio on instead. Didn't sit down, even to drink my coffee. And yet I still didn't have breakfast, and I still didn't make it into the shower until 6.50, meaning I rushed my hair and makeup.
Hmmm......
I *did* make my packed lunch, and I did plenty of pottering eg the dishwasher and the like, but it is clear that I can fill my time, no matter how much I have!
So, tomorrow I will try and do things the other way round.....get into the shower first, then do "stuff" afterwards and see if that makes things any less squashed as I approach 7am!
Off to check banking now. I hope you all have a good day xSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
I know there's a lot of about spending budgets and diaries here, but what about time/activity checks too. What do we waste our time on, how can we use it more efficiently? I don't mean 'work' all the time, scheduling in relaxation and fun is important too and we need to make time for that

Se, keeping a 'time diary is a very good idea', I believe. In fact, couple of weeks back, I was occupying myself developing a template for 'time diary' - for the book I am doing on fitness. 'I don't have time' is a great alibi and used much too often. Keeping a time-diary would help: see what we do; when we do it; can we combine things so we save time; are we really too busy - in which case we have to prioritise; and of course (but I did not think about this one) things we do that are not good use of our time (or can we move these to a down time).
Now off to work for me.

I had a look at the time/benefit equation a couple of months ago and that's why I decided to give up the scratchies, bingo and mystery shopping and I am glad that I did but I am even more glad I have given up the FB games:j
I am impressed to see you were 3 minutes later than your deadline Hypno :rotfl:
I like to have about 20 minutes in bed after OH has got up just so that I can get my thoughts ordered for the day and practice positive feelings and positive thinking

I've not done M/S for a while now, and TBH I am not missing it that much! bingo was one of those things that I was happy to do when it was v. easy free regular money, and I did very nicely out of it, but when they started closing loopholes I didn't continue, so that has been gone for a year or so.....
And it looks like the scratches will dump me, rather than me dumping them so that sorts that one out!
Thankfully, at this stage of my debt free journey, I can afford the luxury of picking and choosing how I spend my time a bit more, and my mental wealth is now more of a priority than ever before, so I am lucky in that I can invest in that

You know, I thought I was there, **arrived**, so to speak, with all of that .... but this latest illness tells me otherwise. That and the fact that I did four mystery shops in one week a couple of weeks ago. The scratches have left me too, of course - but today, I decided to play what was in my TAB a/c as well, before I knew about st minver. And, um, I just won £143.06. There's something wrong with the world when my reaction to that is "oh dear" :rotfl:
Hypno, this is turning into an interesting experiment for you - maybe along with the giving something up, it then becomes about prioritising - you want to have time for your shower and a bit of slap, thats more or less what you do first. Or, does your watch have an alarm? I know its a pain, but if I leave a pan bubbling, I *always* set my watch timer for about five minutes time - numerous burnt, uneaten meals have taught me that :rotfl:
I'm going to have a serious think about m/shopping - I nearly stopped doing them once before - if I'm going to quadruple my income a la Mr Big, I'll *have* to stop them....2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Good morning.
Good idea about showering ,dressing and make up first. Although I don't "get" the flylady thing about outdoor shoes on inside the house to make you feel organized for the day, the rest makes perfect sense. PJs = slobbing in bed and taking my time to me. Once I'm dressed I do stuff!CCs @0% £24k Dec 05 £19,621.41 Au £13400 S 12600 Oct £11,981 £9481 £7500 Nov £7250 D £7100 Jan 6950 F £5800 Mar£5400 May £4830 June £4660 July £4460 Aug £3200, S £900, £0 18/9/07 DFW Nerd 0420 -

Verbatim, as I understand it, it doesn't *have* to be 'outdoor' shoes, it's more about not slobbing around in your slippers and feeling like you're 'at work' and ready for action

Se, good point about time - I just gave up taste radar for that very reason, and a few of the survey sites too. Nice, but the odd £5 here and there isn't as high up my priority list as my PhD right now!
Well done Hypno for your morning! :j :j I always do necessary things first - shower, dressed, lunch packed, face on etc - THEN sit down to eat breakfast - yes breakfast is a necessity, but reading the paper while eating it isn't

Well done KC. I was going to thank you but the thanks button is absent at the end of your post??
Thank you! I find the thanks button sometimes disappears if stuff is happening on the thread quite quickly - I always refresh and it reappears, which I do specially on Hypno's and my thread - I like the way Hypno always thanks everyone who posts on her thread, no matter what, I always do that too now.2023: the year I get to buy a car0
