Shaun, I tend to go for a minimalist Christmas decorating effort anyway - decent tree and tree decorations and not much else. I know that in recent years there are decorations that have not made it out of the box, so I am fairly confident that I can do a good job of decluttering those - in fact, come to think of it, I am sure I decluttered a fair few last year when we packed up, so hopefully it won't be such an horrific job at all!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Ooh, Hypno, just four weeks to go. You're not *only* going to do a decluttering thing, are you? You're going to have a celebration as well, yes? Mind you, I *lurve* decluttering

Yes, but I will be celebrating in a clutter free environment

We have a problem with xmas tree decorations as we've gradually changed it to a 'memory tree', so although not all the decorations are Christmas as such, they remind us of places we've visited etc.. e.g german wooden decorations made by an uncle of one of my language students, and a mini loch ness monster from a visit to guess where
. A very eclectic mix, but it's super going through the memories as you go through the box of decorations. We know when DSs get their own trees/families, we'll have to split the decorations and the memories, so not too worried that the volume increases a bit as we see more places.
I know this year I'm tempted to buy some of these though, especially the black 'Bah Humbug' one, and the red 'Christmas is coming - hide':
