really sorry to hear about the issue with your DS. I really feel for you, cos I know how much you have invested not just financially in this.
But I am sure HE does as well, and is feeling equally gutted with his actions.
good luck with the 'look' and the atmosphere that there is sure to be over the coming ski season.

chev, the indications that I have had from others since is that DS wasn't involved to any "problemtic" extent.....and certainly the phone call that the school got yesterday from the organisers didn't implicate him in the same way as some others, so I am quite relaxed about the behaviour side of it as far as he is concerned.
What the long term fall out will be, well, we will deal with that in due course. It won't stop him skiing, but it will change some things. In the grand scheme of life, though, he will be ok.
soooo,......back to the mundaneness of life, and off to scratch and bank!

Right......
In 4 weeks I will be 40.
I promised myself that I would be decluttered by then, and of course if I am to move any time in the not too distant future, I will need to be decluttered anyway to avoid just transferring the stuff from one place to another.
I am doing pretty well - there is a steady chipping away of stuff, and I reckon I am still more than ahead on my average target of 10 items a day. Much has been sent to the charity shops, the tip and given to XOH.
But there is more to do.....and I have 4 weeks to do it so that I can go into the next phase of my life with as little negative energy surrounding me as possible.
So, I am on a 4 week declutter mission from today. This will include home and office.

Good luck with the declutter! I am constantly on a mission to reduce it in my house too...but it still keeps coming in somehow:DNovember NSD's - 70

P, you will be round at the tail end of it, and it will be bonfire night, so you could be onto something there.....
Also, will save some wine to declutter at the same time

Good morning Hypno et al,
Hope the decluttering goes well, I know personally that it's more difficult as you go on, the first round is relatively easy with the obvious stuff, but gets harder as you go on. I know one of the shocks for us was our stationary drawer, how many rulers, pens, pencils etc does a family need - the stuff actually sold well at a carboot in an everything 10p basket
People do like rummaging in those sorts of things.
One of our other big declutters was the Christmas decorations, there were some we never used as they were too old and grotty, so got down to 1 box from 3. So could be a good one to try if not done already.
Hope the fallout isn't too bad for your DS Hypno.
Hope the zit & cold are clearing up too, can you catch spots over the internet? Going to try a face mask later
, a cosmetic one, not one you hide behind
before ZTD says it
Hope everyone has a good day

The zit has gone - God bless witch hazel!
Yes, as the decluttering goes on, it does get a little harder, but also I find that it is a little more satisfying, as you really are letting go of things that need letting go of more than the obvious stuff, if that makes sense! So, although harder, once you have made the decision "keep or go", and you choose "go", it feels quite good, and as yet, I've not delved back into the "go" pile to retrieve anything in a fit of panic!
I am getting much stricter with myself over what I need and what I use, and what I genuinely want to keep. As I say, there is some way to go, but progress is definitely being made.
Christmas decorations would be a good one to do in the short term, because I need to sort out what we keep and what XOH has.....and it is only fair that I do that with enough time for him to look for those things he needs to buy.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. wow 4 weeks til a big life changing experience! sadly i passed my 40th in a haze of PND, so i know yours will be better than that....
must be something in the air today though, cos i finally managed to give the videos i had promised to the kindegarden to them, and take a bag of clothes to the clothes bank!
Well done us!
Now just need to do the other 98% of clutter that is left:rotfl::rotfl:
