Hope you are feeling better Hypno - I'm wrapped up on the sofa with a streaming cold, eyes streaming and freezing cold! -

Hope the house viewers are positive - our chain has broken down - people buying our purchasers house have pulled out - blessed nuisance as it looks as though the property may be empty over the winter and we will be hit with 20% VAt on fees etc if it doens't complete before January!
Of course I'm being positive about the fact that the buyers property will sell quickly again to complete the chain.

Nephew in USA has had to have a further procedure as when they took the lumbar puncture last week, the hole did not seal so he has been leaking spinal fluid from it ever since.

Heres to a good weekend for everyone

About the Universe responding oddly to demands:
I had a thought last night about pounds=weight and pounds=money and how we're all trying to lose one and attract the other.

I then got into a bit of a tangle trying to work out exactly how specific a request needs to be and how carefully it needs to be worded so we ask for what we want in a way that will help us lose weight but not money

And luckily, I fell asleep while thinking about attracting the right kind of abundance:D

And that probably explains why attractive and slim women find themselves surrounded by tits.

    Hi hypno and everyone,

hypno those buyers will come - sending positive vibes. Can I ask what the mortgage snowball ? calculator is that you use as I just want to check my figures. I have to pay some overpayments to try and put myself in a stronger position when I have to try and secure a new deal.

well done on getting into LM and pania - you will do fab with all your 12 months of challenges.

surfbabe, hope everything goes well for your nephew also.

DDFW I normally just use the snowball calculator on www.whatsthecost.com or, if you really want to play and have fun with overpayments, go to the mortgage calculator on this site on the right hand side of the page towards the bottom. It is fab!

hey sorry to hear about your nephew, it must be very hard on everyone ,when someone so small has to have surgery :(

Thanks for letting me know about the increase in vat to 20% i didn't know about that. OH and I were just talking about selling our house. I don't really want to do it until after I have all my permits in place over here, but might be worth doing so if the vat is going up......

Hope you are getting over your cold, both you and hypno

My cold is much better, thanks Chev.

The VAT is only on things like the estate agents and solicitors fees, so in the grand scheme of things, although it is an increase we could do without, it is the sort of increase that is worth having, if the alternative is a risk of problems being caused if you sell too soon IYSWIM!

DS is off to Lancashire this morning to race today and tomorrow - thankfully he is going with one of the other families, so it makes my weekend much easier - and I have given them the cost of the travelinn room and something towards petrol, so it helps both of us out.

So.....scratches and banking next.....and a bit of a catch up on the boards.

    Have a good weekend x
