I did a stupid thing last night. The charity that I ran the GNR for emailed to say they had "exciting" news - some more places for the London MARATHON :eek:
No way, a marathon is definitely not on my radar. So of course I emailed straight back and said "Oh yes! Send me the details!" :wall:

Morning - well done on the Marathon place - a friend of mine has been rejected for the 5th year in a row.

Had an eventful few days (nothing new there then). Nephew in USA in hopsital undergoing investigation for possible brain tumor, small growth found but not where they thought it would be iyswim.

Spent the day yesterday with my oldest friend who lives in Australia - haven;t seen her for 17 years - the sun shone and we were able to sit the garden for most of the day.

DD is going back to Uni tomorrow so am off to Nottingham bright and early!

Karting sounds good Hypno - my two love doing that - very competitive!

The idea of 2012 sounds good, but like you I've quite often put things off and then you never get to do them, so I'm trying to get out of that routine too. Life is too short to miss the good bits

Surfbabe - sorry to hear about your nephews problems.

Yesterday's news was we thought we knew where we'd be at least until mid November, but now it's all change with OH's work, so might even be changing city/hotel just after getting back from househunting. But no time to organise it now, so will have to wait till we get back.

Probably limited internet if any for the next week, so hope everyones plans go smoothly while I'm away
